Redbull looks absolutely planted on this track; will be tough to beat.
No penalty. Just a reprimand. Probably lucky it’s a new track.Thor Sedan wrote: Sat Dec 04, 2021 4:33 pm Probable grid penalty coming up for Lewis.
F1 has really become a silly show.
Hmmm, Hamilton may be whinging and complaining but he still had a very quick lap there.fishfoodie wrote: Sat Dec 04, 2021 5:32 pm Redbull looks absolutely planted on this track; will be tough to beat.

Max just pushed the last lap so much. Shame, poll was there.

This track is dangerous, but also very exciting during qualifying. The race with 20 loons out there together is going to be just insane!!!!salanya wrote: Sat Dec 04, 2021 6:03 pmThere you go.salanya wrote: Sat Dec 04, 2021 5:43 pmHmmm, Hamilton may be whinging and complaining but he still had a very quick lap there.fishfoodie wrote: Sat Dec 04, 2021 5:32 pm Redbull looks absolutely planted on this track; will be tough to beat.

Jaysus the bitching & whining is off the charts
What a mess. The issues, the whining, the nerves.
This track is just madness.
Perhaps Verstappen has to give a place back, and Hamilton should get a penalty for not keeping within range in the formation lap, and Bottas should still get that penalty for slowing Max down during the first yellow flag.
Just give it to Ocon, and never come back here

After a great restart previously; that was a bang average one from Hamilton
Yeah. Race director is probably asking Red Bull what they want to do first, though...

Don't drown on those salty tears, especially whilst the race is still ongoing.JM2K6 wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:09 pmYeah. Race director is probably asking Red Bull what they want to do first, though...![]()

Well endless VSC laps will probably help Maxs tyres get to the end; but this isn't the track to have a tyre explode on you; because of debris; & I always get the shivers when I see marshalls dart out on track.
Yes, I'm sobbing here by making a little joke about an odd situation. Bargaining with red bull to find what penalty they'd accept was very strange and it's very odd that Hamilton was essentially penalised for Verstappen's illegality.
I'm half English half Dutch, so a little more balanced than you here...
It's a horrible, horrible track, no doubt.fishfoodie wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:13 pmJM2K6 wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:09 pmYeah. Race director is probably asking Red Bull what they want to do first, though...![]()

What a justification for your 'sense of humour'JM2K6 wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:15 pmYes, I'm sobbing here by making a little joke about an odd situation. Verstappen was put back two places, so how was Hamilton penalised?
Hamilton still has the quicker car.
Verstappen giving back the place didn't work well

I see you've not bothered to address Red Bull being asked what penalty they'd accept.salanya wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:22 pmWhat a justification for your 'sense of humour'JM2K6 wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:15 pmYes, I'm sobbing here by making a little joke about an odd situation. Hamilton was leading, then Verstappen jumped the corner and Hamilton had to brake to avoid getting fucked, which let Ocon through. Red Bull demanded that Hamilton not be given the lead back despite him only losing it because of the illegal work of Verstappen.
Anyway - Verstappen trying to wipe Hamilton out, then gets told to hand him the place, then just brakes with Hamilton behind him and doesn't give him any room...
Controversial stuff.
JM: there wasn't a 'which penalty they'd accept', they either could take the 2 penalty places, or have it referred to the stewards. Which would probably result in the same penalty.
Or in the 5 seconds penalty he has now.
I agree it's all an absolute mess, partly caused by this mad circuit, and both teams are playing games as well and are just as culpable to the mess.

How often have you seen that sort of bargaining? Red Bull said they'd accept it if lewis stayed in second - why on earth are they being bargained with like that?salanya wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:32 pm JM: there wasn't a 'which penalty they'd accept', they either could take the 2 penalty places, or have it referred to the stewards. I don't think Mercedes have done a lot wrong here.
I think that'll happen more than we think. It was the equivalent of them being told mid race to give back position.JM2K6 wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 7:40 pmHow often have you seen that sort of bargaining?
