No big brain; but history says Merc won six times in a row between 2014 and 2019, before Max won last year’s race.

The unknown is; they've made some changes to the track this year to increase the opportunities for overtaking; but who knows if they'll work.

Lewis also knows how far he can push it, and when to back off. Max's approach is basically never to give way under any circumstances, and to always expect the other driver to back off and give way.
I also think that the pressure is getting to him. He may never get a better chance to win world championship
Unless he kills someone (or himself) I can't see how Max won't dominate as soon as Lewis retires. At some point he will be forced to wind his neck in, even if it's just because there'll be no real opposition to him, and the sport will be all the better for it.
It will really depend on the cars. I'd expect Russell to be a lot closer to both than Bottas. With the right car he could provide a challenge. Leclerc and Norris could be racy in a competitive car too. Although I don't think Norris is as quick as the others.

They'll be good, but I do think Verstappen is a generational talent.

Jos just converted a few fence sitters for the showdown. What a fucking dumb twat.

A cunt with this sort of track record (sic) shouldn't be throwing stones.
‘I respect Hamilton as a driver, but the rest…nothing’
After a 1998 incident at a karting track in which a man suffered a fractured skull, Verstappen and his father were found guilty in court of assault but were each given a five-year suspended jail sentence after reaching an out-of-court settlement with the victim.[34]

In December 2008, with the couple effectively separated, Verstappen appeared in court in Tongeren, Belgium, charged with assaulting his wife.[35] He was found not guilty of assault, but guilty of threatening Kumpen in text messages and of violating a previously issued restraining order. He was fined and sentenced to three months probational, suspended prison sentence.[36]

On 29 November 2011, the media reported allegations that Verstappen had assaulted his ex-girlfriend; Verstappen claimed to only have had a discussion with her.[37] In January 2012, he was arrested on attempted murder charges following accusations that he drove a car into his ex-girlfriend in Roermond,[38] but released two weeks later after the charge was withdrawn.[39] Verstappen and his ex-girlfriend, Kelly van der Waal, got back together and were married in 2014. They have one daughter, Blue Jaye, born in September 2014.[40] They divorced on 2 June 2017.[41]
Cmon Lewis!

I respect Jos as the person who contributed 50% of his son's DNA, but the rest…nothing.

Max Emilian Verstappen is a Belgian-Dutch racing driver currently competing in Formula One, under the Dutch flag, with Red Bull Racing. At the 2015 Australian Grand Prix, when he was aged 17 years, 166 days, he became the youngest driver to compete in Formula One.

Unless Max got married age 8, this is probably not about him too.

So Max is a third-generation level cunt? That's selective breeding. How many generations of cunts came before Horner and Marko?

It’s a bit of a odd thing to put against Max, because his dad is a cvnt.

If anything, poor guy having to grow up with an ass hole like that, and for being conditioned to it.

He didn’t speak to his son for a week, because of a racing incident. And booted him out of car, ditched him at gas station. Presumably aged 13-14.

The most striking incident came in 2012 after a crash in a World Cup race. A rival was ahead. “I decided I wanted to overtake him straightaway,” Max said. “It was a bit stupid and I crashed. My dad was really upset and disappointed in me.” He was left to pick up the pieces of his dismembered kart by himself before climbing into the van for the torturous journey home. “I wanted to talk about my opinion about the incident but he didn’t. I kept trying. He stopped at a fuel station and told me to get out.”

His father points out that he knew Max’s mother was following a few kilometres behind, but he ended up going back to pick him up anyway. “For me he did everything very relaxed and it was all very easy,” Jos said. “I really wanted him to feel the pain.” They drove 1,000km in silence and Verstappen did not speak to his son for a week, saying the discomfort was instructive.

It’s because Jos Verstappen has been having a go at Hamilton this week, and claiming that he and Max are great friends with all the other drivers, but can’t stand Lewis.

It’s all part of Red Bulls attempts this week to claim Max is a wronged innocent who has done nothing wrong and who is being discriminated against by the evil FIA.

Yeah, great lap. Softs should be good for staying ahead on the first lap, but after a few laps it'll be advantage Mercedes.

And to add to comments above: it's no secret that Jos Verstappen is a bit of a dick. No excuses.
But apart from being a bit of a brat in his teenage days (like many teenagers), as far as we know Max has only shown himself to be a very dedicated and talented driver.
Doesn't mean people have to like him, but he's not his father.

Very clever of Red Bull to coordinate their drivers to give Max a tow on his hot lap, and for him to then reciprocate for Perez on the next lap.

Max should have an advantage at the start with the soft tyre, but they will now be on a different pit strategy than Mercedes, which could still prove crucial in deciding the winner.

Prediction - Max to win the start. Hamilton to lose a place or two to the soft tyres around him.

Mediums to not work as well as Mercedes hope - Max wins a largely straight forward race.

Surprised to see Hamilton at evens on Betfair - think Max has a big advantage here. It's his title to lose.

Yep - it's going to come down to strategy mid race and Red Bull have been bossing that area this season.

Of course - not discounting a mechanical failure and/or crash.

Sadly - I think Max has got this.

Read a comment that Verstappen displays classic symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. He ticks all the boxes. Can add lack of empathy as well.

Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder:-
Grandiose sense of self-importance.
Lives in a fantasy world that supports their delusions of grandeur.
Needs constant praise and admiration.
Sense of entitlement.
Exploits others without guilt or shame.
Frequently demeans, intimidates, bullies, or belittles others.

That's a very tight call. Glad I'm not having to make it. Not the way I'd have made that, I don't think.

Ted Kravitz is right, the stewards from Brazil have left it very vague.

Not sure Max had to go for that and definitely nudged him off the track and Lewis definitely gained an advantage.
