He's to be tried along with the other crook (Altrad) essentially for bribery. Some of you may recall Laporte's somehow escaping jail for his clearly corrupt involvement in the FACEM scandal of 2010/11:

La question de la juste valeur de ce sponsoring est soulevée : les 4 partenaires officiels des Bleus (GMF, Orange, Société Générale, BMW) s’étaient vu proposer une offre à 9,9 millions d’euros par saison.

It should be no surprise any of the other 3 were involved. Mackey could not have got MH/Altrad's sanctions lifted without sharing some of the bribes with other senior FFR officials. What interests me is the investigation has been going on for 3 years and includes wire taps. There might actually be some hope these c**ts will finally get nailed...
