Would there be any interest in this from posters? Should be able to get a decent mix of Scots and English.

Thinking next Wednesday evening.

As you know I'd normally be all over this, but we'll have to wait on other events before I can commit.

Any thoughts on time and location?

I ask as there's no way I'm getting out of house until at least 7 (and that's dependent upon fair wind and toddlers actually going to fecking sleep) and I've got to get somewhere else from the wasteland that is Liberton.

(I should also add that this is dependent upon getting a pass from missus - although this currently seems the least of worries)

East end, old town is easier for me but pretty much happy with whatever best suits everyone else.

Right, OK, just realised Liberton isn’t where I thought it was…. old town fine for me, or somewhere like City Cafe? Bow Bar?

 Actually am serious. Everyone needs a hobby!

Would be good to actually make it to a cabal one day, everyone in the blue corner on NPR (plus the other Scotland-based foreigners) seems to be pretty upstanding & decent. No idea what you're all like after a beer or two though

Not that my opinions should be the deciding factor, but I'd go for the Guilford Arms since it shouldn't be too rammed on a Wednesday and is an excellent boozer.

Similar excuse. Drill night and as per usual for this time of the year I'm chasing days for my bounty.

I have a busy February socially with two six nations matches, two u20 six nations matches, Super Bowl, and a trip to Newcastle. So I doubt I can make this I’m afraid.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

I live 100miles from Edinburgh now so can't justify a round trip unless I am there for something else, and just now there is no reason for me to come through.

I've still got my Edinburgh season ticket though as it is 'our thing' with one of my sons.

And an excellent hobby it is! Just can't be too careful with the cunts on here.

Guilford Arms it is then. Gives Crash an easy escape if needed.

One day Jock, one day.

Biffer, one more won't hurt.

Weegie, fair enough, still very keen to try and do an Edinburgh Eugby cabal before the end of the season.

I would have loved to come along for a small sherry, but Inverness is 3 hours either way and it is a school night too.
Perhaps one day.

It can be a pain in the arse trying to juggle time to get specific weekends off but I get an extra 2 weeks leave for the Reserves to do a camp/course which makes it easier.

I’m still keen and think HKJ and Crash are still on, will confirm with them tomorrow if they don’t show on here

Hoping for a late run from at least inactionman

I would, but a thousand mile round trip for a midweek pint in the Guildford Arms is a bit of a reach.

I'd have done it for a couple of pints in the Cafe Royal mind.

OK, well HKCJ can't make it and I can't get there before 8 so maybe we should reschedule with a bit more notice?
