Hely Hutchison dam on top of Table Mountain. We did a long hike from Constantia Nek to the cable car station and down. Amazing to swim on the top of Table Mountain.

That's quite a walk at our age. I did it a few times when younger. Was with the caving club. We would meet in the waterfront for dinners to plan our weekend. I was vegetarian at that stage. Didn't last long. We would walk up the path from Constantia neck and go explore the caves at the top. Newlands cave was my favorite. Strange crowd. Lots of fun tho. The walk down the path near the Cableway is a killer. Eats your calves. Can't remember the name of the path. Comes out at the restaurant in the gardens. Would eat there. It's steep. The dams ontop were loads of fun....skinny dipping.

Path down is called Platteklip. And on that day we took the cable car down. We had already done a tough 7 hours and the down section would have klapped me.

That's it....age and memory are enemies.
That down section is brutal. Its a steep incline. It's like doing step downs all the way down

I'm almost sweating in sympathy. Durban is so kak from Jan to March. The humidity is ridiculous.
