At lest one person in this whole charade has accepted the parrot has snuffed it, realising whether they like it or not it's over

But it looks like she only went because of the Labour Mayor of London. Definitely wasn’t going this morning, was clear she had no intention to and she stated that publicly. Then she had a meeting with the mayor, he said he no longer had confidence in her and she went a few hours later.

If it was up to the Eton chums, she’d still be there. Went to the right college and all that, dontyerknow.

I think we'd be willing to take a guess on whether she likes it or not, but she did go, eventually

And she can now retire to a lifetime relaxing never knowing if the neighbour's kids are smoking weed

Hmm, guess which Mayor of London forced, er I mean "encouraged" the resignation of previous Met Police Chief Sir Ian Blair. HInt: he's now the PM...

Good riddance to the vile cunt, although a gold parachute and seat in the house of lords awaits.

Not withstanding her involvement in the Jean Charles de Menezes murder should have ended her career many many years ago.

Long overdue, God knows how she hung on so long. Her career was a litany of fuck ups and scandals.

I'm not quite so scathing of her actions and those of the other officers in the killing of Jean Charles de Menezes, there were failings, but not ones that had to end a career, and it's something of an inaccuracy to label it a murder.

I had forgotten some of the details, but from what I've just read Dick told the firearms officers that they could run on to the tube train because de Menezes, "wasn't carrying anything"

He'd been restrained on the train by officer from a different service, the firearms officers shot de Menezes seven times in the head and once in the shoulder, they missed with three other shots.

The shameless lies and cover ups alone should have ended her career

That was perhaps worse than the ineptitude that led to de Menezes being misidentified in the first place

Yes, I agree. The actions were obviously a huge fuck up but there were a lot of mitigations and understandable human error. The cover up and lies were unforgivable.

I do lean more towards murder as being more accurate description rather than a "failing" when a completely innocent (and unlucky) person sitting on tube is shot in the head 7 times because he had a dark complexion and then those responsible lying about it.

Part of the human error being deep rooted racism in the police and a feeling of invulnerability amongst criminal police officers. Two things Dick not only didn't address but denies exist.
