He's not an international 10, but throwing him on and asking him to run from everywhere is unfair too.
Which is a nonsense instruction and will only lead to an avalanche of late points.
Totally agree. Has White or Kinghorn put in a kick from our own 22 in open play yet?

This is a good Scottish side, this is a good Scottish side who haven’t played poorly, they’ve just been made to look like a poor Scottish side.

If Scotland made fairly standard tackles instead of missing them we'd be unfairly close.

Good teams beat bad sides and that's what we've seen today.

I'm inclined to agree. This France team is really, really good and should win a grand slam this year.

Missed tackles, missed opportunities, the standard idiotic players giving away the same penalties and coaches asking rookie international half backs to run from our own line. Shambles.

Need to figure out what you're doing with the backline. Picking Russell with those two centres is like installing American plug sockets in a British house and buying a French stereo.

And it's such a waste of Graham, vdm and Hogg.

Townsend is unfortunately out of his depth. He can coach an upset but he's not a coach for consistency.

Nope. Left out of the squad for Kinghorn. No, we can’t figure it out either.

Started to fall out of favour in the autumn where he got about 15min across the autumn. Was told to go away and work on a few things and then got dropped to the bench for his club.

Kinghorn wasn't good nor the problem today. The game was over well before then.

You’ve beaten Wales twice in 15 years and once away in the last 20 (by 4 points, in an empty Parc y Scarlets). Not sure why you see losing in Cardiff as something unexpected.

It wouldn't matter. Price has dropped several levels, the centres are pish (except when Harris is defending) so having Finn, Thompson, Kinghorn, Hastings who is now the Gloucester back up 10 or the Easter Bunny at 10 won't make any difference.

Hastings isn't the player he was two years ago. It's up to him to show any sort of form and he hasn't.

As off his game as Finn has been, he put both centres into 3 on 2s and they didn't even get a pass off.

That was potentially a bit emotional from me regarding 10. Finn is still out No1

However, the point about the centres. It has gone to shit since Johnson was inexplicably dropped out of the squad. I’m aware I’m at danger of getting really boring about this, but it’s true

In no order; Johnson, Redpath (injured), Hutchison and Lang are all better 12s for this level. They can pick a pass.

Yup. Tuipulotu hasn’t done anything particularly wrong, but he was glaringly a weak link last week, so no idea about that selection

Well, we did. Scotland had a rocky start, but came back into the game and honours were pretty even for the rest of the first half. If Harris’s pass to Hogg had been an inch or two less ahead of him, we’d have gone in ahead and the third French try wouldn’t have had time to happen. But it did, and then the French try right after HT killed us off.

France do look impressive.

I've only seen the second half in its entirety and bits of the first that have been on twitter etc

France look like world champions in waiting to me, they were superb, their magnificent Under 20s side of a couple of years ago is starting to come of age and by the looks of things (from the U20s on Friday) the best Ntamack is still to come.

Well pretty good game from France, especially in the second half when they made Scotland look clueless.

France did get the rub of the green which helped momentum (the bad choice for the long miss pass that Hogg couldn't collect, the try scored after Woki had collected a ball while being off his feet and passed it...) but globally the result is deserved.

I thought Jaminet had a mare, and I am getting seriously concerned about his ability to field the high ball safely.

Baille, Marchand, Woki, Aldritt, Cros, Dupont, Fickou and Penaud were outstanding. Dupont finally getting back to full fitness.

Atonio doesn't have the fitness for more than 50 minutes at this level, and Jelonch was rather transparent. I put Jaminet in the disappointing category too.

Ntamack and Moefana mixed good and bad things.

Hope they remain focused on the Welsh .
