Ntamack with a crucial intercept. How is Torq responding?

Look, I've been making the point for 2 years that France cannot win a RWC if they play Ntamack at 10. He is possibly the worst FH on show for any side in this 6N (yes: even worse than Russell).PCPhil wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:39 pm In a world cup, Eng, SA and NZ will eat Fra on this performance.

Besides which, one thing right in 80 mins is hardly a rational for inclusion. Although it seems to suffice for Ntamack and Jelonch.

It is ALWAYS poor. That's my broken record point. He dines out on the odd moment of brilliance a la versus NZ. Watch his effort for Toulouse against a 3rd string Cardiff where he was comprehensively out played by a part timer.ScarfaceClaw wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:45 pmHis kicking and decision making has been poor.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:44 pm^^^^^^ScarfaceClaw wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:41 pm Ntamack with a crucial intercept. Don’t think it was that off. Apart from the disaster of 2015, Eng have usually got it together for WC and Sa+NZ are always there. Fra run out of ideas In The face of a reasonable defence.

Enjoyed that game - Wales really should have won it - absolutely butchered an easy try scoring opportunity and they suffered not getting points on their many visits to the 22, much like England last week. France looked a bit rattled but their defence held out well in the last 20. I'd expected a higher scoring game but it was a cracker anyway.

If you'd not done a Hogg special on a clear overlap, you'd have won.

Wales are always such a pain to play against. Most of the time they just sucker you into a dog fight where there's only a score in it. They don't go away.
I think France will actually take a lot from this. French teams in the past would've lost it. Their discipline would've gone to shit, they would have made mistakes, something would've happened to fuck it up, but they've come through it.

Zammit on earlier would've helped, we lost to a far better team by fewer points than expected tbh..Torquemada 1420 wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:54 pmIf you'd not done a Hogg special on a clear overlap, you'd have won.
France for the GS..

CANNOT WAIT to piss on their party
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember with advantages, What feats he did that day
You're right... France used to be useless at winning ugly... now they can do it.. I'm glad NZ are in their group, so will avoid them until the final... if they get there...sockwithaticket wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:56 pm Wales are always such a pain to play against. He was decent apart from that... he had it in both hands...

I don’t think he would have made it anyway to be honest but a bit of a shockerGrandpa wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:56 pm Wonder how Jonathan Davies is feeling... how did he drop that? Line begging...

Ollivon back for Toulon tomorrow.
So can we f**k Jelonch back off to Toulouse now?

Won't happen, but even if by some jammy series of events England did squeak it, it won't matter because Ireland are going to smash us anyway.

Largely down to Atonio I suspect whom Bernol has given 3/10 although, laughably, Ntamack awarded 6.GogLais wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:22 pm Disappointing thing for me is that we lost it after doing ok in the set piece where I thought we’d get smashed.

I agree , Ntamack should be higher, that was a world class interception requiring judgement and perception, definitively saved France.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:26 pmLargely down to Atonio I suspect whom Bernol has given 3/10 although, laughably, Ntamack awarded 6.GogLais wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:22 pm Disappointing thing for me is that we lost it after doing ok in the set piece where I thought we’d get smashed.![]()

Tragically, that's exactly the justification you'll see on French forums and in bars across the country.sefton wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:32 pmI agree , Ntamack should be higher, that was a world class interception requiring judgement and perception, definitively saved France.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:26 pmLargely down to Atonio I suspect whom Bernol has given 3/10 although, laughably, Ntamack awarded 6.GogLais wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:22 pm Disappointing thing for me is that we lost it after doing ok in the set piece where I thought we’d get smashed.![]()
