Sergio Parisse in talks to extend his contract with Toulon for one more year, which would extend his playing career into his 40s. Could he make it to a sixth world cup?
Parisse not goooone?
Not a chance in my view, nor should they, maybe if there is some sort of friendly game give him a swansong, but anything more than that he should remain firmly on the shelfsturginho wrote: Wed Mar 30, 2022 11:04 am https://www.onrugby.it/2022/03/30/sergi ... ltro-anno/

Even if he's playing well enough to be there on merit? It's not like we have enough strength in depth (yet) to be overlooking playersASMO wrote: Wed Mar 30, 2022 1:52 pmNot a chance in my view, nor should they, maybe if there is some sort of friendly game give him a swansong, but anything more than that he should remain firmly on the shelfsturginho wrote: Wed Mar 30, 2022 11:04 am https://www.onrugby.it/2022/03/30/sergi ... ltro-anno/

Honestly it would be a wasted cap, give the new batch a chance to grow and play together, how would it look to them to bring someone who is at the end of their career back above them who are the future. Dont get me wrong, in his day he would have walked into most international sides, but not anymore.

Tbh his last few international seasons were a swansong. An excellent player who let the hype go to his head
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember with advantages, What feats he did that day
This.
