If that stands, it sums up this game so far. Best player for MH is Mercer. Again!

This decision to change how we play is really backfiring. Care isn't doing his usual kicking and Smith is not finding the right options. The commentators are banging on about how Quins play this way but it's not true, we've put away the longer kicking game and the box kicking.

Even more stupid to play that way against lumbering MH when a pace, ball in hand game is exactly not what they want.

Must be yellow if that's a pen from that position.

Oh fuck off giving a yellow when the try is scored

Edit: replay shows there was nothing unnatural about that tackle either

Mercer has been superb so far. Huge swing with the yellow as well

Yes it’s the first time I’ve seen Quins play like this. Looks very muddled

Why not? We should see more of that. And should have been yellow from the previous infringement in the far left corner.

I'm not averse to more cards being issued despite a try having been scored. However, that still occurs so infrequently that teams have every right to be agrieved if it happens to them. It's a long way from being a standard bit of reffing at this stage.

Mercer's putting together a good highlight reel for whichever Prem clubs might want to sign him. That is if he still harbours England ambitions once Jones is gone.

Moronic by Care. We were managing that so well. Again, another bad decision to kick hurts us and Montpellier are turning every opportunity into a try.

Because it almost never happens. And no, the offside was not a yellow.

I like the call but doubt he’d have given it against Montpellier

Brace has been massively lenient on Quins at the breakdown.

Deserved try for Mercer, who has been nothing short of phenomenal. The short offloading game has been killing us.

Dreadful by Quins in terms of the chosen strategy, the execution, and quite frankly the piss poor tackling.

I think you've probably been missing how often the first MP player has been lying over the ruck while pretending to go for the ball.

We can expect objectivity from you when it comes to Quins. :problem:

TBH, I really wondered if Quins would edge this but it seems a combo of them deciding to play sh*te whilst MH puts on by far its best performance of the season has coincided.

Quins need to switch to playing rugby and try and narrow the gap or the 2nd leg will be academic.

Interestingly, the Fantasy picks have 75% going for Quins.

Sorry are you claiming to be objective when it comes to a French side playing an English side, even before we bring Brace into the equation?

If Quins can win 2nd half and reduce defecit to 14 points, they can win the tie next week.

Well, that's bollox since no-one is more critical of Fre sides when they get it wrong. And MH is not a Fre side..... no-one wants to see them win. Except their own supporters.

Brace remains an embarrassment. He's acted as a blocker for Quins at least twice now.

Has to be their goal. The risk is going harem scarum and conceding an even bigger margin but with this scoreline, I think it's sh*t or bust.

Oh that's okay then. I'm hugely critical of Quins therefore I am objective. Good to know.

But that's the weird thing. They didn't own us from the off. They had about five entries into our half and scored four tries.

Most of the half was Quins possession and pressure.

Our lack of a real fetcher on the flanks is contributing to killing us when MP have the ball, we just can't get near their ball

You could have 5 fetchers but they'll win bugger all if you don't make a strong tackle first let alone a dominant one.

Wallace on, because the coaches have accepted the obvious fact that we need a fetcher

That seemed like an obvious knock on but I wouldn't blame brace for considering Quins possession to be advantage Montpellier...
