Wasn't the winner of Munster/Exeter AWAY to Ulster/Toulouse?

seeding was:
Leicester
Ulster
Munster
.
.
.
.
Toulouse
So higher seed gets home tie all the way to the final.

Very, very sloppy from Russell. He basically stops once he makes the error as well, no urgency to try and make up for it.

There are 3 FHs at Racing. 2 are the epitome of showpony flake and the other 1 is very good.

Yeah, it's on the softer end, but he has put the Racing player through the horizontal. That's always a nailed on yellow.

FFS, don't mention meerkat Parra in the same breath as Le Garrec. This kid is going to be very good.

It's the sort of thing that's been a regulation yellow for years, we don't see them very often now because players have adjusted not to do it.Kawazaki wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 2:57 pm That YC was pathetic, there was no danger, no head contact. It was a hard hit but it was safe.

Bullshit. That wasn't a spear tackle. It was a safe tackle, no point in reviewing it if you just penalise everything.

No, it wasn't a spear. That's a very specific sort of tackle and typically a red.Kawazaki wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 3:00 pmsockwithaticket wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 2:58 pmIt's the sort of thing that's been a regulation yellow for years, we don't see them very often now because players have adjusted not to do it.Kawazaki wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 2:57 pm That YC was pathetic, there was no danger, no head contact. It was, however, a tackle which rotated the tackled players legs past the horizontal as part of the tackle and that, as I said, has been a yellow for years now.

It's a YC if the player isn't returned to the ground safely. That's the directive. You could spin a player through 360 like a Catherine Wheel as long as he doesn't land dangerously.

Safely here involves the tackled player's head being above his hips when brought down rather than beneath them with legs sticking up in the air.Kawazaki wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 3:09 pmsockwithaticket wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 3:03 pmNo, it wasn't a spear. So the unbroken series of red cards by Fijians in T14 continues unabated.

He goes through the situation with greater clarity than many of the refs for whom English is a first language.

Is he off for an HIA, because if not the medics want shooting.
