Barnes what about advantage?
It’s a terrible decision, looked about as red as red can be.Kiwias wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 8:24 am Ta'avao got red for an identical tackle but this was on a 2.05m monster yet they reckon Porter was not moving upward into the tackle. How else could his head hit the Lurch's head?
WR have to protect the refs here and if they have changed the various levels of mitigation etc come out and say it publicly

Flat track luxury in offence against weak or weakened defences? Part of the problem in the 1st half where he was entirely in absentia defensively...... as usual.

We've seen quite a afew incidents up here mitigated down to yellows seemingly on the basis of 'the bloke taking the hit is bigger than the tackler', couched in terms of tackle dominance/absorbing tackle. It's bullshit and most of those should have been reds, but it's also not without precedent for English refs this year.Kiwias wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 8:24 am Ta'avao got red for an identical tackle but this was on a 2.05m monster yet they reckon Porter was not moving upward into the tackle. BTW, the sign of the dominance in the 1st half for me was when snail Sexton sidestepped Jordan.

Yeah. In a way, there should be less mitigation for not being able to get lower against a much taller man.sockwithaticket wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 8:28 amWe've seen quite a afew incidents up here mitigated down to yellows seemingly on the basis of 'the bloke taking the hit is bigger than the tackler', couched in terms of tackle dominance/absorbing tackle. Jordan didn't even look like he was travelling that fast, what a cracking score.

Overdue bench changes made but if the ABs won from here is a flattering result

Not sure that really counts! You'd expect any winger of FB to burn a FH in open play!Kiwias wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 8:35 amJordan repays Sexton by skinning him on the outsideTorquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 8:30 am BTW, the sign of the dominance in the 1st half for me was when snail Sexton sidestepped Jordan.

Feeble by NZ fwds, again.
Okay banging on about what the likes of Savea and Ioane do when on the front foot but the Irish pack has had an armchair ride against the NZ backrow.

Been their most influential player by far. Still question his defensive effectiveness.
We discussed his standing of defensive mauls near the tryline in Soup and I suspect he did the same for that Ire try?
In fact I’ve just written that elsewhereTorquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 8:44 amYeah, it was a pen. Savea was never behind the backfoot.
