Yet again, Willie le Roux proves the difference in our backline. Yes, a couple of mistakes, but he's involved in every attack with generated. I loved seeing him and Willemse play together.

Big game from Kolisi, I could see early on that he was going to have a big one. Man I just wish he played like that more regularly.

Hendrikse looks very comfortable in that 9 jersey. His kicking was outstanding. I think Faf is going to have to fight for that jersey back. Same with Wiese, although I'd like to see Roos come off the bench so he's given an opportunity.

We need to see someone else in the 12 jersey now, surely. Apart from his try, DDE was pretty average.
It's a pity Pollard is injured. The prospect of a Pollard/Willemse 10/12 axis with Willie at 15 has me very excited.
With 3 playmakers creating for Am, Kolbe and Mapimpi we might actually become an attacking threat!
Hendrikse put in a great performance as well. Best 9 performance by a Bok this year. Jumped to the top of the pecking order as far as I am concerned.

1. Henrikse
2. Reinach
3. Faf
4. Williams
5. Jantjies

Argie games are going to be tough, but looking forward to them.

In immediate news, Ardie Savea won't play the first Bledisloe game, which is scheduled for Melbourne on the 15th. He's staying home with his partner expecting a child.

Luke Jacobson has been added as Frizell is out with injury. There are a few other changes...

I really can't see the point of bringing Laulala back in. He's shown nothing in the past few years to suggest he's anywhere near being our starting test tighthead, despite being given numerous chances. Ofa has more to offer (sorry) and makes a difference when he's on. Apparently, Nepo's the best scrummaging tighthead in the squad. Like Karl's our best scrummaging loosehead...

Agree on all of that. Willemse looks like a natural heir to Willie. Does he play at 10,12 or 15? I think he's a fullback. Great under the high ball and if the coach gives him license he can do the Willie playmaker thing.

Jaden has such a fantastic temperament! I was worried about him for a while but I'm a believer now. His service and kicking game have been superb. I think we've yet to see his attacking skills which judging from his junior game are considerable.

I agree. Laulala is a liability. I wonder who decided to start Lomax and De Groot? I just can't believe it was Foster...

So the Boks are now without a specialist flyhalf in the squad.

It's a dead cert Willemse will start at 10, but lord help us if he gets injured.

Keeping a tight rein on one’s expectations is sensible.

All I expect of the Wobs is that 23 of ‘em will turn up on time for the upcoming game.

Yes. That try the All Blacks score in the end on Ellispark can win them the Competition this year. At least its a close one this year. Our lot wanted to experiment in the last two but now their hand is forced.

No real argument with that starting line up considering the value of consistent selections,

BUT

can someone explain the value of Coles? For that matter, Christie over Fakatava?

For once, I'm happy with Scooter at 6 because I think the Wallabies will try to play hardman abrasive forwards style rugby but I'll be holding my breath over the chances of a card for any of them this week.

Who's the ref and TMO for the game?

Yeah, Coles' only real contribution to the 2nd Argentina match was to initiate two fights in just 20 minutes. Having said that, he did at least manage to throw the ball in straight, which was an improvement on both his and Taylor's previous efforts.

The ref's Mathieu Raynal, but no idea about the TMO.

I don't think we should've had both Coles and Taylor in a squad with 3 hookers, when they're both well past their prime. Need to replace one of them (Taylor, for mine) with Aumua or one of the other young rakes coming through. Keep the other old-timer on board for now, in a mentoring role.

So Junkies is sent home, ans is replaced by an injured Bongi.
An injured hooker replaces a flyhalf?
Bongi flies 20 hours from Deben to not play, only to fly 20 hours back to Deben to be in contention to play.

Makes perfect sense.

Keen to see how Sotutu goes at no.8 with only a couple of NPC games under his belt since June.

Bokke must score 3 more tries then Pumas. Not sure how they'll get it to our back 3.

It's not a bad team, all things considered. But I feel like given our form this year we could be in for a loss.

I'm pleased to see AE in the team, but coming off the bench in a losing cause in Argentina is hardly going to do his cause any good.

This whole Thursday night test in Melbourne thing is giving me a nasty Chicago '16 vibe.

Wallabies by 10.

They are refusing to bring in a flyhalf. Rassnabber is a bunch of fuckwitts.
A flyhalf should have been sent 2 weeks ago.
Which one would you have sent?
Libbok. Most definitely. You must understand. Libbok has played at the Bulls, Sharks and Stormers. He knows everyone
So, you would be quite happy to fly in an uncapped player that has not been involved in the Bok camp at all during the RC or the Wales tests? A player whose form can be quite hot or cold on his day? In a must win game for the Boks?

Right... Nienaber and co must rather fly you in to Arg and start mining your obviously vast rugby intellect.

So when do you make the move. A month before RWC. Now is the time. As I said. Libbok has played with the Bulls, Sharks and Stormers players. He hasn't screwed the dietician yet but I doubt that would take long to learn. Junkies is gone. Time to move a youngster in before its too late.

It's pretty much being echoed on social media currently.

Awesome! Been out of it for a while and didn't realize Bled was on today. I shall have a brunch at Forresters Arms in Newlands. One of the oldest pubs in Cape Town. Trying to round up a gang but all the old farts are working.
