IT’S OVER. LET IT GO!!

The options

Thread per match - as it says on the tin. Downside is we are inherently useless to organise each one, and perhaps not the traffic to justify it.

Thread per weekend - listing all the fixtures in the thread title. “W/e Matches: Wa v NZ, Eng v Aus, Sco v Arg”

Mega thread - spanning everything. The ultimate in laziness
catch all. “Autumn international mega thread”

Thread per visiting team. So one for SA, for NZ, for Arg, for Aus. Although arguably we could do it the other way around too. “Scotland AIs”,”England AIs”, etc

Final results

A few votes cast already.

Also any additional thoughts on it would be welcome.

Kudos for being organised and thinking ahead. I voted option 1 and volunteer you (as the most organised among us) to create the match threads en masse before each game week.

Thanks for posting the poll in the middle of the bloody night. Anyone would think it's only of interest to NH posters.

 sorry. I’m not good at this patience thing.

I really meant to keep it going a bit longer, but wanted to start a thread or two so squads could be discussed.

Grrrr!

The ABs and NZ XV squads get named today (Sunday in NZ), presumably after QF4 has been played...?

I guess we can put up a dedicated thread, or use an old fred, for chat about the teams themselves. ABs should be named today right?

Yeah.

Exciting times. Any Barretts we haven't yet heard of?

Add me Option 4, one thread per visiting team. Kudos for raising this well ahead of time.

O ye of little faith.

PUG may have done himself a mischief yesterday. Any other potential midfield backs in the running?

Ennor could be crocked as well, and TUJ is also out...as usual.

On the bright side, ALB's starting at second five for Waikato today.

Has Damian McKenzie done enough to squeeze into the mix for this trip?

Marc Hinton: Possibly the most interesting aspect of this squad. Do they run with D-Mac or Stephen Perofeta as 10/15 cover. McKenzie filled this role until his departure for Japan and now he’s back, it’s a moot point whether he has done enough in a slightly tepid NPC campaign to earn the recall. That said, Perofeta, with the sum total of 1 minute and change off the bench against Argentina, needs game-time in the international arena, and he’s unlikely to get much in the top squad. Maybe a trip with the ABs XV serves the young playmaker best.

Richard Knowler: I would take him, which would be bad luck for Perofeta, who has had only that minute or so at the death in Christchurch. That was a reflection of the All Blacks' erratic form, rather than anything the player has done. Had the All Blacks not flopped in that test, Perofeta may have started in Hamilton a week later. But, right now, he may have to be patient. McKenzie, with 40 test caps, can play No 10 or fullback, and even on the wing if required. He's worth taking

ALB will likely go, even with limited game time.

Happy to see Perofeta retained. It seems Jordie's still seen as an outside back. Ennor and Tuivasa-Sheck...meh.

The NZ Second XV touring squad will be named tomorrow.

BB should be named as a fullback and JB in the midfield. Weber rather unlucky, IMHO. I hope this means we have seen the last of Patrick Tuipulotu in black.

Yep.

Presumably Weber will be one of the halfbacks named tomorrow, but I wonder if TJ will make it. Hope Roigard gets picked.
