Rain never work for us at WCs. We'll end up getting 20 runs from 1 ball.
Pakistan need this win, so may aswell just give them the points.

All depend on the last round.

Not much different in SA and Pakistan run rates. Luckily we are 1 log point ahead and a win will be good enough.

Usually I cost us a wicket so I try to refrain from posting. It's good to see I can bowl as well as bat, then

Yeah, that was...Kiwias wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 6:51 am Gotta admit that KW’s captaincy has been courageous today — keeping Santner and Sochi on after they were hammered in their first overs
ballsy
So, there will be no way for Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands to all qualify for the next T20 World Cup, despite it expanding to twenty teams.
All three have been competitive and deserved to be there, but the ICC doesn't give a fuck. Slam the door on good teams, why don't you.

And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Crowds and the hype around this seem generally pretty poor, can't help but feel increasingly these tournaments exist to give India and Pakistan an excuse to play each other, with everything else secondary

Man.....rooting for Australia to spite England is a tall order. Every time an Aussie wicket falls I grin - but then catch myself that the lower the Aussie score - the easier it is for England.
Dilemma.

168/8, seems slightly light.

At least 30 runs short of the total they would have been aiming for.
Black Caps officially qualify for semis, as Aus had to win by 185 runs to top our run rate.Mahoney wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 9:54 am So Aus need to restrict Afghanistan to 116 to have any chance of bettering England's NRR if England win. Any more than that and England can just focus on the win against SL without worrying about NRR.

The BBC are suggesting that they need to restrict Afghanistan to 106 to overhaul England's NRR, but that they really need to be 10 - 15 runs ahead of that, so less than 100.Mahoney wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 9:54 am So Aus need to restrict Afghanistan to 116 to have any chance of bettering England's NRR if England win. England can potentially win and drop their net run rate - e.g. if England made 168 and Sri Lanka 167 England's net run rate would drop to 0.420, in which case if Aus bowled Afghanistan for 116 they would top England with an NRR of 0.427.
If Afghanistan can make it to 117 then I don't think it's mathematically possible for England to win without having a better NRR than Aus.

Never mind run rate.....Aussie are in danger of losing this match outright.
