A choke tackle reffed properly? Good job I’m sitting down

Not sure about that. Is it ok if I take out somebody in the air as long as it’s under control?JM2K6 wrote: Sat Nov 05, 2022 5:55 pm I don't think they did dump him. There was a level of control there. Yellow seems right to me.

Was noticeable in the last passage that at points you had three or four Irish players whining at the ref rather than playingBlackmac wrote: Sat Nov 05, 2022 6:04 pm Murray's service would be faster if he didn't initially appeal for a penalty at every breakdown.

No. No one is talking about it being okay and that's not remotely what's being argued. But the level of recklessness does have an impact on the level of sanction. If you tackle someone in the air but there's a measure of control, you're not going to get a red.
The winger had time to put out and arm and was lowered to the floor(yes, largely head first) rather than driven hard or dumped. It makes a difference to the level of danger, and this the colour of the card.
It wins them so many penalties thoughPaddington Bear wrote: Sat Nov 05, 2022 6:06 pmWas noticeable in the last passage that at points you had three or four Irish players whining at the ref rather than playingBlackmac wrote: Sat Nov 05, 2022 6:04 pm Murray's service would be faster if he didn't initially appeal for a penalty at every breakdown.

Obviously sucks for Murray, but this change should help Ireland. Even when the ball's available he's just not giving it quick enough.

Should've been advantage over I agree.
Immaterial at the end of the day though. Would just have been a Bok likeout 5m out on the other side of the field.

Bom squad will be important. No team can equal the Boks rush defense. Hope they keep it up. Jesse Kriel have been excellent.
