The whole report is hilarious.
Un match contre les Boks, ça ne se note pas sur 10 dans l’Équipe, mais en années d’espérance de vie perdues.

I don’t know about that, Urios pushed away some good players last year, like Païva- Seuteni (not sure about Woki), but La cerise sur le gâteau has been Jalibert looking for a new club and this is a big NO from Marti, MJ is his protégé .

From your other post

I'm just not a fan of player power being used to oust managers. We've seen wayyyy to much of this sh*t in France right back to Skrela/Villepreux as Fre coaches.

Yes. Bernol goes on to make excuses for Ntamack and then writes that sh*t i.e. your best player in a key position should be on the bench. Taking tips from Eddie Jones.

Of course, Ntamack gets to look good against a weak Japan this weekend and then they can all say "See. He's a genius". :wtf:

Bellau was awful last night, plus a lot of kids in this group, I didn’t know a third of the names.

It wasn’t Le Garrec best game neither, made a lot of bad decisions under (light) pressure.

Bordeaux doing much better without Furios :lolno:

Really enjoyed Lou/ST
Belleau's confidence is shot to pieces. It fell apart last year at RCT. He reminds me off Plisson after Lawes broke him in half. All rabbit in headlight stuff.

LeGarrec has had a few bad games this year but on the plus side, Gibert was excellent and Chat had a decent game too.

F**k UBB. Screwed up my Fantasy picks: I would have had a Grand Slam this week.
And now Urios has gone, there are rumours of Jalibert replacing Flake at Racing. :eh:

Contrary of what I said before he might leave (and should?). MJ wants to win titles and after a couple of good seasons Bordeaux is going down and I’m not sure they’ll be a top club again (á La LOU), the Arena will be perfect for him, but so far it doesn’t look like Russell wants to leave.
I'm sure Russell doesn't want to leave. He's being paid plenty for doing a bad job!

But ASM are going to be screwed if both Iturria and Penaud leave. All of a sudden, Toulouse has a lot of money again (Penaud)?

With their Shopping spree last year you wonder how they could stay within the cap with 3 international full back, 2 wingers, a 9 a 10 50% of the french pack ...

they are already gaming the cap for sure.

He was not playing, Finn neither and Gilbert had a great game.

Yes, it was Biggar's introduction to the home crowd and him speaking to them in pretty decent French, albeit heavily accented, that I was referring to.

I actually switched off a little bit into the second half, it wasn't exactly riveting stuff.

Much as I hate to quote PR
Firstly, at fly-half, Romain Ntamack acquitted himself well during the Six Nations. Still, thereafter, with Toulouse and France, he dropped off the form cliff – looking lacklustre, lacking match control and absolutely unable to direct France with the authority needed with such quality and quantity of possession. It might be argued that Antoine Dupont wasn’t at his mercurial best alongside him, but even in sluggish form, the scrum-half is still world-class.

When he got his opportunities (bearing in mind he missed the end of the 2021/22 season with an injury), Jalibert looked different gravy as a 10 – sharp, fast, intelligent and threatening. You could argue all day over who the better rugby player is without reaching a conclusion, but the question here is who is the better starting fly-half, and the answer to that is clearly Jalibert.

Didn't really know the details but it sounds all very dodgy. How long will the appeal take? And why hasn't he been suspended pending the verdict?
A FRENCH COURT on Tuesday sentenced French Rugby Federation (FFR) president Bernard Laporte to a two-year suspended term for corruption, less than a year before France hosts the World Cup.
Laporte was convicted after the court ruled he showed favouritism in awarding a shirt sponsor contract for the national side to a close friend, Mohed Altrad, the billionaire owner of Top 14 champions Montpellier.

Appeal in the courts suspends the sentence.
As For the Union he and his stooges run the show they won't suspend him, the main opposition group is calling for new elections but seriously this has negative chances of happening...

a large number of bought clubs made sure he got reelected despite all that was known (it was known before his first mandate that he was a crook).

Just watched a replay of the Paris derby. Concerning for France when guys like Woki or Fickou look so much out of their depth. Woki in particular was abject, with a 3 against wasted 10m from the try line and a cheap penalty 5 min later...

Only ray of light was Macalou whose work rate was outstanding

Racing remind me of Bath (which is ironic........... or maybe indicative...... since Russell is off there): consistently a high quality squad on paper with plenty of flashy players but too often seem work shy and lacking in discipline. At the moment, they are directionless.

Parra had a good game but have to be wary given how bad Racing were. Maybe Parra is enjoying a new challenge and also I think Paris currently offers him more in terms of options around him than ASM did in those last few years (ASM guilty of the same crimes as I listed for Racing above and then when the marquee names became old/stale, the club has plummeted).
