So it looks like NZ are stuck with Foster.....England stuck with Jones.

No winner there.

England absolutely terrible for 71 minutes, but somehow manage to salvage a draw by playing 10 minutes of decent rugby for the first time this Autumn.

FFS. Why couldn’t NZ have picked last week to collapse in the last 10?
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Which bit? The 70 minutes nightmare or the 10 minutes Jones contract extension?

Who knew that attacking at pace could have such an effect?

OK 14 men, but...

No idea what to make of that game.

AB's play a great half and then fall off a cliff into mistake after mistake.

England are terrible for 60 minutes - then it all clicks and they look like world beaters.

Safe to say that neither of these two teams will be battling it out past the quarters.

Ribbans made a big difference, as did allowing Smith finally to play at 10.

Mako was actually a net positive when he came on. That was his best game for England in a while.

I’m not sure but it has bolstered my belief in quantum physics.

Helps when he doesn't have to do much scrummaging.

50:50 tbh. Not like it’s the world cup semi, why not go for it?

It did show a distinct lack of ambition when facing 14 men, & in a game that's only meaningful in the possibility of getting one over on a big opponent.

Weird game.
Initial anticipation killed almost stone dead by the endless penalties ... and then a sudden lurch into last-minute action and alarm.

Farrell just been asked about it and said that where the ball ended up would have made it difficult to get anything going as several England players were on the floor; if it had been in a more promising position, they might have gone for it.

There are an infinite number of parallel universes in which Smith is being pilloried for not kicking the ball out because one of our many morons has moroned in front of the posts. Anyone bitching about that kick needs to get real and remember what this England team is like.

Except that wasn't the way the game was going at that point. I could have understood NZ kicking it out.

Yep, it kinda seems like a weirdly appropriate end to a strange and largely unsatisfactory year for the ABs.

Accept that as a fan's view. But if that was the reasoning process on the pitch :problem:

Nah, kicking it out was really odd

Anyway, that game reminded me of the England 38 - 38 Scotland game when Scotland decided to ignore the coaches and play their own game in the 2nd half. Who knew England with those players could actually play like that? Everyone except Eddie it seems
