Can you believe that our vokkop of a government wants to do Shark cage diving off Strandfontein beaches. I don't know if any of the old time surfers surfed Cemetery. I have had many Sharky experiences there. Now they want to chum for great White's with people in cages teasing the vokkers.
My mind is just blown.
No Great Whites have been seen in False Bay for several years now. Doubt any amount of chumming will bring them back. Many theories about why they disappeared but there are two orcas called Port and Starboard who are thought to have taken them out. They are still patrolling the bay and they apparently attack the sharks and eat their livers.

https://www.thesouthafrican.com/lifesty ... test-news/
Gaansbaai went through a very bad patch when those 2 were in the area. Couldn't find Sharks and that's a huge industry there. I stayed at one of the tour boat owners one year it was particularly bad. It was a very tough time for them. Lost 2 or 3 Sharks washed up with livers gone and the rest disappeared.

Anyway there's a protest planned and they are inviting all the
Falsbay surf schools to bring the numbers

Word the last 5 months have been busy. At work. I hardly post anymore. I have till next Thursday and then we break till January 10th. Can't vokken wait. Going to hang in Cape Town for December doing holiday stuff and then a week in January in the garden route. Can't wait for the warm water. Already bought a new mask. From the 14th Dec to 17th we have an under 16s , 100 over cricket tournament, for my 14 year old. After that the youngest wants to spend a day riding horses ( help. Have no clue where ), the missus wants a day a Boulders beach with lunch in Kalbay. I just want to lay around on the Blouberg beaches and chill till the stress of Xmas lunch with family, arrives.

What are you guys up to

I'm planning a camping trip to the Masai Mara for a few days. Nothing big planned apart from that, just relaxing at home.

Ja, those little cunts. Jissis I hate them. And then you don't even get the satisfaction of killing the ones that bite you with with a swat because they are fucking bullet proof. They just shake it off and fly away.

Enjoy your time off ouboet. We are too old to do that without enjoying some of our time. I have been working a half day this entire year. And next too. In fact I moved my office home. There's too little time left to spend it working. Thankfully my kids keep me very busy. I timed that right. You have an empty nest. By 1 , every day I am home. But there's lots of aches and pains. This is the worst part of growing older. One of my mates , also in engineering, had a heart attack last week. The stupid vokker rushed to get back to work and now is getting so tired he can't get up the next day. So is working one day , off the next. Silly. It's amazing how your clients adapt to your work hours. I realize our time is not forever on this planet. So I believe we must balance life. Half day work, half day family

Holidays officially started yesterday. Went with my daughter to the CT Sevens. It was pretty good. Sparse crowd but brilliant atmosphere and some amazing rugby.

I'll be having a Christmas on family farm in Mooi River. My little one has just finished matric and we just found out she has a full ride scholarship to Stellenbosch for four years doing dietetics. So I can afford to spend a bit extra this year.

After our experience during the 7s RWC I don't want to do 7s at the stadium again. It's a nightmare to find nearby parking

Ah yes they are horrific. I react badly to their bites, and you're right they are ridiculously difficult to kill. We get loads around where we live due to the farms around us.

I haven't seen them out in the bush, so let's hope they steer clear. Otherwise we're packing up

We managed to finish all the work for this year by 11 this morning. Awesome stuff. So I am also on holiday with my staff. Just holiday pay to pay out in the morning and I am done. Already done 1 match in my son's 100 ball tournament today and 3, maybe 4 depending on results, more days to go. So far 1 victory under the belt so good chance of making the quarters. We beat Tygerberg. Probably the best opposition in our pool.
Man it's hot. And the pool sounds very inviting

Geez. That was a long 4 days. Milnerton u16 made the final and lost it. Heart wrenching. We were cruising and it all went wrong in the final. But I am so grateful it's over. Now my holiday can begin.

It's Africa. It's the way of Africa.
Look. I understand the sensitivity over race issues.
What distraughts me is the complete lack of sustainability.
If A costs 50 bucks to make, including costs. And the selling price is 100 bucks. Don't steal 60 bucks. Or even 50 bucks. Allow for growth. Or else you are going to have to cut costs somewhere. Like in maintenance. It's simple.
The problem is that there are far too many hands waiting for their portion and those managing the money and disbursement are not qualified to make budgets.

So I went homeless. The tiler was suppose to finish Monday but the fucker decided the geelstert loop so fuck work and fuck the oom, fishing is more important then work. This had a ripple effect because the plummers cant put in the washbays and kak potte and the kaste cant get done. Plus the municipality inspectors can't issue tydelike living certificate tomorrow because they close at midday.

Luckily my boet in Worcester step in to help me.

We've got good power supply here boet

But seriously, I don't know any African country with power cuts like SA at the moment. Even those with it bad all have generators so you don't notice it as much.
