Really sad to hear, that's far too young.
A very, very good striker, and always came across as a thoroughly decent bloke.
Pancreatic cancer is a bastard of an illness, one of my close colleagues thought he had gall/kidney stones and it turned out to be pancreatic cancer, passed away within about 3 weeks. He was late 50s as well. Horrible.

This is terrible news. I was a big fan of his from his time at Juventus (watching on Channel 4) and so remember being chuffed when he signed for Chelsea in 1996. Wonderful striker, strong as an ox and could really strike a ball so hard and so cleanly. One of the great centre forwards. RIP Luca, a true legend.
Lovely sentiments from Souness, hard not to get choked up listening to that.
Seems like Italy has always produced a lot of very gentlemanly footballers when you think of what Souness has said here abd ten you think of what people have also said about Zola, Del Piero, Baresi, Maldini et al.
