You worry about 8 bar. Now it seems a great investment by the Stormers.
You are worse then them

Be serious. There is so much talent to watch in the Sharks team why would I even bother. Franscois Venter is going to be an exciting watch aloneOomStruisbaai wrote: Sun Oct 16, 2022 11:54 amDo it matter?Sards wrote: Sun Oct 16, 2022 11:25 am Man but the Stomps are so bitter and jealous of our side. Experienced tighthead prop Frans Malherbe has signed a three-year contract extension to continue his considerable legacy as a DHL Stormer.
The World Cup winner has only ever played for one team in his professional career and will continue to add to his 126 DHL Stormers caps over the next three years.
A proud product of the Western Cape, Malherbe came through the junior ranks, representing DHL Western Province at U16, U18 and U19 level before making his DHL Stormers debut as a 20-year-old in 2011.
Since then he has established himself as one of the most respected front row forces in rugby, who has delivered consistent world-class performances for both the DHL Stormers and Springboks.
While he is renowned as one of the best there is at scrum-time, Malherbe also offers considerable value in his positional play, defensive nous and general rugby intelligence.
After representing the DHL Stormers for over a decade, Malherbe played a key role in the team’s victory in the inaugural Vodacom United Rugby Championship last season.
DHL Stormers Head Coach John Dobson said that having a player of Malherbe’s class remain loyal to the team is hugely significant.
“Frans embodies what we would like this team to be all about. He is already a DHL Stormers legend and will only add to that in the years to come.
“He is a world-class player who contributes so much more to our cause than just what he does on the field.
“He will play a vital role in inspiring and showing the next generation what it means to be a true DHL Stormers man,” he said.
Malherbe said that he is excited about what the next three years hold for the team.
“I am very happy to be staying in Cape Town and playing for the DHL Stormers.
“The team environment here is very positive and I want to contribute to building on that and doing whatever I can to help the team continue improving,” he said.

Good news about Zas. He's a real asset for the Stormers.
More good news is that Evan Roos's injury is not as bad as feared. He didn't tear any ligaments and is expected to be training again in a few weeks.

IOL
Lions rugby chiefs have moved to extend Ivan van Rooyen’s contract as coach, IOL Sport can reveal.
The offer on the table is a two-year contract, despite Van Rooyen having a 39% winning ratio as Lions’ coach. According to sources, it is more than what John Dobson makes as Stormers head coach.

Thirty-thousand Stormers fans voted with their feet on Saturday, shunning the WP clubs’ protest but turning out strong in their numbers inside Cape Town Stadium.
The 30 701 that witnessed the Stormers edge the Sharks 29-23 in the URC trumped the apparent "28" that formed part of the disillusioned few.
In the build-up, a disgruntled group of Western Province- affiliated clubs intended to demonstrate against the SA Rugby-enforced administration.
Thirty-thousand fans inside the stadium, 28 "protesters" outside.
There could hardly be a bigger statement telling rugby administrators in Cape Town that people are more into the actual sport above the politics of the sport than the one made by 30 701 Stormers fans at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday
In the end, the "protest" against mother body SA Rugby’s administration of the Stormers’ parent union, Western Province, drew what some witnesses said were about 28 protesters.
All week, a disgruntled group of Western Province- affiliated clubs was intent on making a statement two hours before the Stormers hosted the Sharks in the United Rugby Championship (URC) by staging a march outside.

But the game wasn’t to be overshadowed as the Stormers recorded the most number of fans since the 30 300-odd in last year’s URC final against the Bulls. That game was Covid restricted but its 31 000 tickets were sold out.
Saturday’s was also their largest regular-season encounter since they hosted the Chiefs in front of 35 000 at Newlands in a 34-26 Super Rugby round-robin win at Newlands in 2017. That was the Dillyn Leyds pass game - that irresistible offload to SP Marais while on the floor.
Stormers head coach John Dobson was unperturbed by yet more off-field turmoil hounding his successful side, saying he would have been more worried if his players displayed any signs of being disturbed by it all.
The defending URC champions saw off a late Sharks surge to win 29-23 in the end, a bonus-point victory that put them 18 points clear atop the SA Shield (ahead of the Sharks and Bulls on 41) and 10 points clear of third-placed Glasgow Warriors in second overall.
"I was worried that the team would have an interface or interaction with the [protesters] but I didn’t see anything. But I did see the [Cape Town Pride Festival] and we saw the pictures while we were in our hotel," said Dobson.
"I would have been really disappointed if [the protest] affected the team and team’s performance. I think we’re one of the areas of Western Province rugby that is doing well.
"I’d be sad if that got disrupted like that. It was probably a reasonable outcome for us."
Dobson has somehow insulated the team from the boardroom chaos that haunts Cape rugby at the moment.
In midweek, the head coach was at the province’s official signing of a 39-year lease with the City of Cape Town to move WP games there from defunct Newlands Rugby Stadium.
With the Currie Cup kicking off next week (10 and 11 March), it was another step to putting distance between the meddling administrators and marvellous players.
The Stormers fans certainly illuminated the path forward.
"I said to the team before the game that I think this was our biggest crowd since we played the [Chiefs in 2017]," Dobson said.
"And that’s for an ordinary league game, not a knock-out game and without the Springboks. We feel that’s great and a brilliant experience for the players.
"We would have liked to have a game where we had more than 90 phases. I think our total tackle count was about 97 tackles between the two teams.
"We would have liked to play a bit more but I don’t think the surface and the length of time around the scrums helped that.
"But it’s brilliant and it’s shows we are in a new direction and we’re building something special here at Greenpoint."

Brannas
Deon Fourie, the stand-in captain in place of Springbok Steven Kitshoff, says it's the clarity in the roles given to the youngsters that have made them fit in effortlessly.
"I think we're one of the top teams in getting talent to come through, we all know we are a union rich in talent. But the credit must also go to the coaches who bring that talent through," Fourie said.
Practically the whole of last season, the Stormers had Fourie, Evan Roos and Hacjivah Dayimani as the loose trio. With Roos and Dayimani on the sidelines, guys like Marcel Theunissen, Junior Pokomela and Ben-Jason Dixon made the step up.
In the absence of Springboks Marvin Orie and Damian Willemse, young guys like Gary Porter, Suleiman Hartzenberg and Sacha Mngomezulu put their hands up.
They've been excellent and will surely keep the more senior guys on their toes in terms of pushing for playing time.
Fourie added that it's a healthy situation they currently find themselves in.
"We're now creating our own Siyas (Kolisi) and Ebens (Etzebeth) (who left the union before the URC started) week-in and week-out with the guys performing.
"I think it will just go from strength-to-strength every season. As soon as you create a sense of belonging, it's healthy and it is easy for guys to flourish.
"Every guy that steps in, knows what his job is. And the guys see when someone gets an opportunity, they take it. They then know that when the opportunity arrives for them, they need to grab it as well."
Fourie used Hartzenberg as an example of someone who got the opportunity (in the absence of the injured Seabelo Senatla and Leolin Zas) and he flourished.

Probably sensible if he wants game time.
