Verstappen was quoted this week saying something about the sprint races detracting from the main spectacle, the actual GP. They're a shit idea, another Liberty hype artifice.
If they're going to have them, then they certainly shouldn't have them in places where you're guaranteed multiple safety cars, & multiple incidents of cars smashing into barriers. Totally agree, I'd add that the sight of Canapino's car slowly rolling into another smashed car sent a chill thru me, as you couldn't tell if it was because it had no brakes, or the driver was dead. Safety there was worrying, too many near misses. Tyre flying off a car over the fence, by pure luck flying through a gap in the stands and ending up in a car park.
2 incidents in the pit lane. How no one was injured was a miracle.
