Beat Bulls and Valke but lost to the Sharks

Sharks dropped a game against the Cheetahs last weekend.
Dissapointing result. But the Cheetahs will take that confidence into their match against WP
Every other side besides Cheetahs, Pumas and Sharks ( and Griffons who have no chance ) need WP to lose to have a shot at the quarters. One slip and the final match against the Sharks becomes WPs most important match of the season. WP wins then the rest are pretty much out of it
Apparently the coach wanted them to kick everything first half. Testing the kick and chase. Back to running rugby. Bonus point in the bag , topping the log, 15 minutes to go. Just need to chip away at the points difference between them and Cheetahs.

Sards worry about WeePee making the semis.

No. WP was number 4 and last qualifying union. So that's where the cut off is. You flatter yourself. I am just trying to work out who the Sharks will be against in the quarters. Lions are 11 points difference behind WP. So still in it.
Bulls play Pumas tomorrow and Cheetahs play Griquas.
Could be some moves tomorrow

I watched Weepee v Lions. If WP were any softer they would be made out of slaptjips.
Clayton Blommetjies went to the bench for tomorrow. He is a big factor in WP being in the hunt. WP would have to pull in their entire URC backline to win from here_Os_ wrote: Fri May 26, 2023 7:09 pmI watched Weepee v Lions. If WP were any softer they would be made out of slaptjips.
I don't think anybody is gushing. It makes perfect sense for the lads who have taken it this far to start and some URC beef on the bench. Most of us don't want any tinkering with the CC starting side as they have a fantastic defensive structure.Chilli wrote: Sat May 27, 2023 5:25 am $harks fans gushing about beating a semi professional team while playing their URC team.
Oh how the mighty hath fallen.
This is not about falling. This is about rebirth. Dominating all the structures below URC

WP is still in 4th. They will take it from here.
Aah. Back again. Welcome. There are 4 teams sitting on the same number.
Next week WP play Griquas who are level with WP.

WP delivered the most Springbok camp players but there are enough quality to rule the CC.
Dobson said he wants some silverware so is loading the CC side with URC players. Will probably beat Griquas. Who will be playing their hearts out for 4th spot.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sun May 28, 2023 12:11 pm WP delivered the most Springbok camp players but there are enough quality to rule the CC.
Bulls have an easy 5 pointer against Griffons so will take maximum points.
Sharks have Lions who are also in the running for 4th spot. Sharks Might just throw this game to keep it interesing. Cheetahs and Pumas fight it out for 2nd spot.

There will only be a few URC players, mostly from the URC bench who havent played a lot. So you can calm down.Sards wrote: Wed May 31, 2023 4:09 amDobson said he wants some silverware so is loading the CC side with URC players.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sun May 28, 2023 12:11 pm WP delivered the most Springbok camp players but there are enough quality to rule the CC.

Just adding some spice to those that need to win to qualify.
Bulls will definitely get 5 points so may overtake WP

Its a real bun fight for that 4th spot.....
That makes it so much more interesting.
WP have to win with a bonus point to keep in 4th as the Bulls will definitely get one. Next week its the table topping Sharks so that could be the last points on offer for WP this weekend. Bulls get Cheetahs next week and that will be epic.
Lions need to beat the Sharks and next week get 5 points against Griffons so definitely in the hunt still.
Griquas have WP this weekend and Pumas next weekend so sadly think that unless they beat WP this weekend , they are out of it.

Will the perpetual chokers win it this year or will the coal miners from mpumaganga take it again?
It's CC.....not URC when discussing the Chokersaverage joe wrote: Thu Jun 01, 2023 7:26 am Will the perpetual chokers win it this year or will the coal miners from mpumaganga take it again?

Make the finals and win fokol. Mind you, you only seem to win one every 5 years so you're due one.
