From what I remember, my Brummie grandparents didn't have strong Black Country accents... they lived most of their lives in Northamptonshire...
Technically Black Country and Birmingham Brummie are different dialect/accents
Do you call your remote control the Clonker or the Bopper?

Apparently, depending on your answer, you are either from Birmingham or the Black Country.

They all sound the same to me..

Pokerface. Modern day Murder She Wrote type of show. I’m enjoying it a lot.

Oops, that's another great show I should've added to my list.
It's not that it's bad as such.
It's slight. There's no depth there at all.

News that brings with it a mixture of joy and concern. It was a such a good show you can't help but worry that the revival won't be any good, may even be bad enough to tarnish what came before.
Hopefully it's a

Should be as it's directly from the Elmore Leonard's source novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit

You might be confusing it with Killing Eve? Poker Face is one of the girls out of American Pie...

Oh she played Russian Doll too... didn't know that... I remember she nearly died in the 2000s from a heart problem... was depressed and a heroin addict... it's amazing she came back from that to be so successful...

I have offended a few people over the years from Wolverhampton by calling them Brummies.

They do get rather irate.

Just some pointless trivia here, finished rewatching The Wire for the third time and still completely enjoyed it - towards the end of Season 5, Bubbles' sister is listening to music that they later used as the theme tune for 'The Deuce'.

The Power on Prime.

Expected it to be just another "Supernatural-girls-have-powers-thingy" but two episodes in I'm surprised how good it is. Great characters amongst the young women and the story threads are pulling together nicely already.

Decent cast too: Starring Toni Collette, John Leguizamo, Eddie Marsan and Auli’i Cravalho

Bosch Legacy ok. Not as good as previous seasons, think it loses something without J Edgar as his partner, but still worth a watch.
Started watching this, a bit better than I expected but I think the PI stories for Bosch lose quite a bit - not only through missing J Edgar but also the butting of heads with Irving. Also as cliched as it can be the maverick cop loses its edge when he's no longer a cop
*Books minor spoiler*
Spoiler
Show
though in the later books he manages to rejoin the police in a small city outside LA / Hollywood proper as a part time officer mixing with part time PI work
and pushing the story of the daughter becoming a patrol cop as a secondary story doesn't really work for me ( though it is canon tbf)

And Prime says it's "free with ads" but maybe that only applies on other platforms as I get no ad breaks

Has anyone watched foundation?

Just started it. For a sci fi, I need a healthy dose of drama/action. Is it there or just a political type of sci fi?

Seconded. Only a few episodes in but very enjoyable.
I'm six episodes deep. Really enjoyed the first 3, but from episode 4 on it's just felt a bit repetitive and gimmicky for mine. I know that's partly the point - a good-humoured take on the Columbo mystery formula, etc - and I'll probably keep watching, but hopefully it'll return to form.

There's definitely some filler episodes that are weak enough. Decent enough finale and a short enough series to have you wanting more.

Do you need to watch these in any particular order?

I watched one, where David Cameron had to do something to a pig. And another one which I think was unrelated.

Which seasons are the best ones?

Every season is excellent, season 3 ranks the best, season 5 (2019) is the worst by some margin, each episode is a unique stand-alone story.

Both my son and I thought it was a drop from season 2, but still above season one. We'll certainly be watching the rest of the season.

We are dreading the new Geralt.

I am really enjoying Young Sheldon.

I did not bother with it when released, and can't recall why I started it now. Amongst all the usual hilarity based on young Sheldon's awkwardness, there are lots of sly and blatant observations of bible belt America.

Just stumbled upon Detectorists 👍

Written and directed by Mackenzie Crook.

The mad farmer in season 1 was a gem of a performance.

Blimey, given the hate hard on it's had for the series in general, but particularly since the announcement of Cavill's departure, that borders on a recommendation.
