Absolutely text-book example of how to execute a scissors move at top pace from Umaga-Jensen and Preston there.

Fabian Holland charges up the guts to score under the posts and put Otago 7-0 up over North Harbour after 5 minutes.

Beautiful timing to put his faster wing away. If he's waited any longer, the 2 defenders could've closed that down.

Mind you, his opposite number's also quite handy.

Wellington ahead 27-17 at HT.

Some really good play from both teams. Riley Higgins continues to look class. Pity they're playing in an empty stadium.

Yep. Proctor can’t have been far from the ABs’ thinking.

Kirifi schooled by the ref there for backchat. Glad to see a ref being firm on that

He's too much of a hothead to be a good captain, imho.

Yep. Even after that, he was mouthing off after a penalty given to Wellington FFS

Harsh red card imo. The BoP 7 was trying to wrap and it was a completely accidental clash of heads. Agree with the ref's call for an HIA though. The guy was clearly KO'd.

HB's string of comeback last minute wins seems a long time ago. They need some Fakatava magic.

BOP hold out against a rampant BP in the final five. Agreed with the Ref on the knock down, no penalty. 3 losses in a row for HB, the wheels have definitely come off.

Great comeback at the end by HB getting so close to the line but a good call by the ref there.

He seems to have lost some pace, as I would have backed him to make the line on that break late in the game

Zarn O’Sullivan knocks the ball away into touch, preventing the last pass for a try. Deliberately knocking the ball into touch is a penalty offense so it should have been a penalty try.

EDIT: we get the pt anyway

Yeah, wasn't seeing the spark he had a couple of seasons ago, guess injuries and age catch up with everyone. HB didn't disgrace themselves and certainly got the crowd chanting in the final stanza. Inexplicable fall off tackles through the middle of the second half, was terrible to watch. HB need a couple more impact players, not sure where they are going to get them from.

Pretty good game over all, but a disappointing result for Taranaki. Dan won't be happy.
