I have had some 28 day aged rump in the fridge since the end of last month.
Will braai it on Sunday after the Boks beat Scotland.

Very happy with the outdoor braai. Made it with Very thick SS. To handle the heat. I was worried it would starve of oxygen with no holes in the base. Nothing like that. I will still add a raised grid for airflow. Also worried I had the lip around too high. Perfect. Only criticism are the grids. Too flimsy. I bought them from Pure steel products. Its like 2.5mm SS wire inside with 4mm on the borders. I normally use 6mm. With everything. I will definitely reinforce them after the weekend. They wash off easily tho and fit in the dishwasher. . Like that. A little concerned about coals flying out the tray after the braai is finished. Thinking about adding a lid. Will also starve the coals. I built a wood pile inside it easily with about 15 pieces.
Warmed up the entire table area.
Beauty to clean. Because it's mounted and SS don't have to move to clean. I have braai spades. Just scoop ash into a packet and done.

Boerie, ribs and rib-eye tonight with some Windhoeks, red wine, a springbok shot or 2, maybe a Dom Pedro or 2. all with good company in perfect weather and 4 games of rugby. Today is one of those very good days 👍

Due to ESKOM I have eventually strayed from the straight and narrow and got a gas braai.

Big plus is to be up and braaing in 10 minutes
