Yes, it was the worst stadium I have ever watched a test at. Terrible all round

I still take every opportunity to razz a JAFA about this shithole at every opportunity. And the dorks had an opportunity to get a flash new one right downtown.

Classy.
Especially when you look at the scumbags who frequent Free state Stadium on a Saturday. Okes absolutely hammered on brandy and if you have a lady with you, be prepared for her to be ceaselessly harassed. Should you choose to stand up to these okes you better be prepared to have a drink poured out on you and your lady and to be threatened with violence.

lovely people in Bloem
I honestly never had a problem at the stadium in Bloem. Granted I last watched Rugby there in the mid 90's

Of test match venues I've only set foot inside Twickers & the Millenium but its a shame how Aviva has none of the charm of old Landsdowne Rd.

I'd say its analogous to Arsenal's move from Highbury to Emirates, from a flawed ground with real character to a more modern but sterile new ground.
Yes, Emirates is a soulless stadium, boring team in a boring stadium in a shit part of town. Best thing about it is the view from a train out of kings X and you see the mural.
I prefer the slightly smaller stadiums like Madjeski or Brighton for football

Purely subjective ratings of course ;)

Surely as these are the two biggest Rugby stadiums in the world, the context should be that Twix capacity should be a 10?

But otherwise a great thread idea

Nope, 10’would be for those bledisloe games 20 years ago that had over 100k watching or any of those olden day games when people stood and crammed in.

People can confuse nostalgia for charm! I watched Ireland play Argentina in the old stadium 20 years ago. I was stood on the terrace area behind the posts on broken concrete with weeds poking through and the occasional flash of rusty rebar showing. It felt a Hillsborough disaster just waiting to happen. In short, it was a dump.
I was there in 1999, the stand looked like it was just waiting for a discarded fag end for it to go up like a firework.
I was unlucky enough to be heading there for the one and only weekend it did.

Got a ticket refund but had to sit in a Dublin pub and watch like every other Kiwi back in London.
