ITV: where has this England team been!?
It’s fucking Chile. Semi pro players at best FFS.

Christ Almighty, the gap for Daly to run into was wide enough to get a bus through, so he kicks it and gets lucky as the Chilean makes a hash of it.

Astonishingly bad commentary. I know they're broadcasting to a domestic audience a large portion of whom will be casuals who don't know that spanking Chile is nothing to write home about, but come on.BnM wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 4:52 pm Where's this England been?
Not playing Chile or another team who's in their first world cup that's where they've been.
Honstly what a comment

Fuck me. I predicted we'd get 20 minutes of Ford-Farrell in this game. We're going to get half an hour. Pretty clear what we're doing for the rest of the tournament then even though Ford - Lawrence - Marchant is our best, most balanced midfield.

Completely agree.petej wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 4:42 pmTBF Arundell and Lawrence should be starting.sockwithaticket wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 4:39 pmWell, yes, but with where we at we need to use every game to build for what we'll do against more serious teams, not give the subs a bit of a jolly.C69 wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 4:24 pm
If you can't play champagne rugby against the tournaments lowest ranked team then you have a problem
I agree. My money is on Farrell, Tuilagi, Daly or Ford, Farrell, Tuilagi being selected.sockwithaticket wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 4:55 pm Fuck me. Arundell. A World Cup hat trick scorer. A hattrick. In the World Cup. Are you not watching ITV? He’s the second coming of Jesus. Not done enough.

Why bring Rodd off? It's not like Marler needs the playing time.

What an odd decision by Jack O’Pepper there.
Once he has the experience but lost the step and pace then we will select him. It is what we do.ScarfaceClaw wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 4:58 pmArundell. A World Cup hat trick scorer. A hattrick. In the World Cup. Are you not watching ITV? He’s the second coming of Jesus. Not done enough.
TBF, it’s just the idiot commentators and pundits, the England team are being pretty respectful and just playing what’s in front of them

A scottish granny away from loving him. At least you know that the conservatism in English rugby means we won't maximise his talent.Slick wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 5:05 pm I really hate Smith, mainly because of his face, but I love watching his movement off the ball, really impressive

That might exacerbate things, but Sal's right, at some point in the recent past refs srarted allowing teams to swim right round mauls and it boils my piss.
