By geez there has been some bloody close games hasn't there? As a Naki man was pretty pleased with end result, but by christ they could of not kept me on edge of seat for so bloody long!Kiwias wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 8:53 am Another two-point margin today. Yep, comfortable win in the end.
Not so well picked on today's games. Both much wider margins than I envisaged. Expected Otago to lose comfortably but that was a hiding. When you look at their team on paper, should never be that bad.Kiwias wrote: Sun Sep 24, 2023 12:05 amWell pickedTorquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 8:01 pmHad both games by 1 and got both winnersKiwias wrote: Sat Sep 23, 2023 8:53 am Another two-point margin today. It's essential to the survival of NZ rugby.Flockwitt wrote: Sun Sep 24, 2023 8:03 am Cruden was excellent. It's great seeing some of the older guys coming back into the mix. We really do need to find a way to keep the NPC viable.
Undeserved win. Auk can have all the firepower in the world out wide but they won't win a thing if their fwds are mullered where it matters. Ref was extremely liberal at the breakdown but Northland adapted to it and flooded contact area with aggression. Auk fwds simply didn't look up for the fight.Kiwias wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 8:06 am The Orcs snatch the win with a try under the posts after 80mins I’m yet another absolute nail biting ending.
Even that last scrum, Northland were crushing it.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 10:32 amUndeserved win. Yep, that's gotta hurt. So close, and without Goodhue as well.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 8:58 pmYup. Cruel on them.Kiwias wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 5:58 pmEven that last scrum, Northland were crushing it.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 10:32 am

Hope it's a great game despite the elements. Enjoy - and go, Waikato!Kiwias wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 10:48 pm Meeting Enzed of this parish in 15 minutes for lunch then off to the stadium for a great double header, in filthy weather: raining and 13C.
Possibly a good thing then, that I couldn't make it. I can be errr... slightly rude in my support.Kiwias wrote: Sat Sep 30, 2023 1:54 am Waikato backs clearly more dangerous but the good guys still leading at half time
other spectators don't seem to appreciate my vocal support for the good guys
The Waikato backs looked superb when they were throwing lovely passes for the player to run on to and employed some lovely running and support lines. It was a joy to watch. Don’t forget that Waikato are my second team so losing to them doesn’t hurt nearly as much as, say, losing to the Orcs or the scum from the capital.Guy Smiley wrote: Sat Sep 30, 2023 2:51 am Well played Waikato, desperation footy and they kept it together. Lethal attacking when they're moving it, great to watch.
Enjoyed both matches enormously.
