An Italian heart?
I guess. Seems unfair. Until you see the opposition sandpapering the ball I guess.
They'll be having their balls sandpapered by their public when they arrive back in Melbourne next week

I feel for Sturginho, he's a quality poster and seems a genuinely nice guy. His team are letting him down badly.

It will be a tight game against this French team. They are razor sharp on the loose ball. The backline is really clicking. Our tackles will have to be pinpoint accurate, otherwise the tmo will nail us. And their kickers.... oh man.

He is a quality poster, but he's not responsible for how his team play - it's the same for those who crow when the team they support do well, it actually had nothing to do with them personally.

You do feel for supporters of teams that find themselves on the end of a hiding, no one wants that.
As an Edinburgh and Scotland supporter I have experience and therefore empathy.

He had every right to expect a decent campaign too. Sure, they were shafted along with Scotland as Brain Dead Billy's charges ensured England's safe passage but their 6N campaign and rise in their U20s promised much more than meek surrender.

Italy were an embarrassment all tournament. Fascinated by their decline from 6N performances

Not much, they did what was expected of them against Namibia and Uruguay, 52 points and 38 points respectively.

I don't think Italy plummeted, they just had the misfortune to find themselves against two magnificent sides who hit their straps

They would have fared better in the other half of the draw, probably

They’ve looked like a team that couldn’t give a shit since about 20 mins into the ABs game. Maybe Crowley lost the changing room? Lamaro looked pretty furious to be taken off

This result must make the New Zealand team the favorite to win the World Cup.

I’m not criticising them for not making the quarters, but they’ve been humiliated twice. They lost by a score to France, and had chances to beat Ireland, Wales and Scotland. They were absolutely abject and it’s a real shame

Hey; we've all experienced those years when teams stink the place out; it's all part of the torture of supporting a team.

The good news is that after ~20 years in the Six Nations, Italy & particularly their U20s are starting to look more promising, & it might not just be a good year when they get a single win.

What they need to stop doing, is ditching their coach every fucking time they start to show signs of life, & throw the whole thing in the air again.

Enjoyed Negri trying to end everyone who came near him onthat second half.

France were wonderful to watch with the extreme exception of Lucu's Oscar winning performance of a tortured dying swan, the prick

I was wondering about the hopefully upcoming 1/4 game coming up. This French team is the complete deal.
