We could save everybody wasting time after tonight's last game. Assuming Ire win, we need only play SA v Fra to determine who then meets Ire in the final.
Spain next Sunday. So long as they don't lose against Norway we qualify for the European Championships (football) in Germany next year.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Ordinarily I'd suspect some skullduggery; but I don't think there's anyone in World Rugby who could be bought off by the offer of a sheep, & a big bag of chip ?EnergiseR2 wrote: Sat Oct 07, 2023 9:34 pmWell spotted Seft. It's a mystery how that went in Wales's favour. A mystery. A conundrumsefton wrote: Sat Oct 07, 2023 9:15 pm Seedings haven’t worked with four best sides in the world facing off at the QF stage.

Look how Ireland and SA defended against ScotlandNiegs wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 1:31 am Has anyone figured out how to stop the pull back pass / second man play yet? Seems highly successful given that I mostly only watch highlights and it features in a lot of the wide tries.

Flatman's just said of Scotland and Australia being knocked out that two teams who could've won the whole thing are leaving.
Now I understand a bit of tyre pumping from broadcasters, but come on.

Yip no way either of these 2 poor teams that have been easily beaten in the group stages would have even progressed in the knock out stages let alone win the RWC.sockwithaticket wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 1:14 pm Flatman's just said of Scotland and Australia being knocked out that two teams who could've won the whole thing are leaving.

Scotland and OZ level is where it ....out at the group stages
France NZ SA and Ireland are the only teams that can win this RWC.
No other teams get a look in
That isn't what worries me - I don't have to read or listen.ASMO wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 3:35 pm I honestly have a horrible feeling that SA are gonna win it, 4 more years of insufferable Saffer cunts awaits.
What worries me is that we will all end up playing that shite brand of rugby.
I drink and I forget things.
Tonga going to be playing with only 14 men after this card is reviewed.
Leading 21-10 after 32 minutes but this will even it up.
Later: Bugger me - it's stayed a yellow. Good for this game but I am not following the rulings these days

Romania are totally shagged but they should be proud of their effort here. If Tonga had got the red card they deserved I wonder if this might have been different

Fiji are making exceptionally heavy weather of this

Agreed. Should probably stop giving away penalties?

All this is doing is highlighting the insanity of the draw.

I'm not feeling as confident about SA lately as I did before the tournament. I'm not negative about our chances though.ASMO wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 3:35 pm I honestly have a horrible feeling that SA are gonna win it, 4 more years of insufferable Saffer cunts awaits.
I feel the opposite about NZ. Before the tournament I thought they'll bow out at the quarters or at best the semis. I see no reason now why they can't make this #4.
Ireland can easily do it, if they are prepared to actually make it last the quarters.
France is the dark horse in the race.

Botitu at FH has been a failed experiment.

Fiji have well and truly sh*t the bed here.
And chalk that down to Botitu bottling the catch.
