NZ v NL starting. NL win toss and bowl. Looks a bit overcast so will be interesting to see if the Dutch can re-enact their early stranglehold v Pakistan. They have been excellent bowling in the powerplay, not just last Friday but also in the qualifiers.

Masterclass of bowling from the Dutch. NZ's batting has been completely blunted - struggling to get near 300 at this rate - or perhaps even finish out the overs.

If one or 2 Dutch batters have a good day - NZ could be in trouble.

50 runs off the last three overs puts a shine on the performance for the kiwis and slightly dulls the Netherlands performance.

edit - thirteen off the last ball
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

NL batters getting strangled by some accurate Kiwi bowling. Waay behind the required rate now.

Ackermann goes - might be the big moment that assures a victory.

NZ need to wind the innings up ASAP to keep the NRR up.

The nice story about Conway
Devon Conway - A South African born struggled in South African domestic circuit till the age of 26 because of not having consistent chances at a particular number.

He sold his car and every property and shifted to NZ to have a better career . He worked as a School coach in NZ along with his club practice . He took his time to settle down and played domestic cricket for Wellington.

Conway didn't took long and was Top scorer in 5 out of 6 domestic tournaments and debuted for NZ in 2020 .

Now he's averaging 50 in Tests , 46 in ODIs and 41.5 in T20is for NZ and scored 8 centuries including WC century .

Such a inspiring story . An example of what one can achieve with will of steel and dedication .

Apparently, he and his Wgtn teammate Rachin Ravindra are really close, and he's something of a mentor to the young all-rounder.

South Africa loose a lot of cricket talent due to the PoC policy. Most of them just walk away from cricket.

Bangladesh fighting hard with England now 327/6.

Even though England would like to get to 400 - judging by what pundits are saying - they might already have enough with fast bowlers expected to have some fun with this pitch.

364/9 - at least 60 short of where they should've finished after that start.

Can't see Bangers getting close to this total though.

Ya, but net RR is going to be important later on, particularly after being hammered in game 1.

Topley with 2 in 2.

I think if you're suggesting getting close to a world record is merely par then something's a bit off. The start wasn't particularly special - 115 off 18 overs when Bairstow got out. We've hit 100 in ten a few times.

296/2 with 10.5 over to go.
10-12 an over is not an unreasonable expectation/acceleration with Livingston to come & Root will in.

68/7 is shyte

Surely the innings showed that it was hard to come in and start blasting - it's a wicket where you need to bed in first.

Pakistan need 182 runs from 21.4 overs.

Current RR: 5.75
• Required RR: 8.40
• Last 5 ov (RR): 34/0 (6.80)

This one's going to be tight me thinks

Aye, you only need to look at their innings strike rates to see it.

Pretty good stuff by England, certainly helps their NRR problems

Average 1st innings score at Lucknow apparently only 235, so SA well ahead of the curve. Although they probably put in a deliberately dead wicket again so past efforts may not mean much.

I must admit I hate this ODI paradigm where it's only supposed to be fun if 350 plays 320. Give me 200ao plays 201/8 every single day of the week and twice on Sundays.
