This is why I keep arguing that the entry to the ruck has to be changed so that it must be in a controlled manner (you must bind with a team mate before pushing). We took the dangerous hit out of the scrum and need to consider the same at rucks to put an end to the exoceting.

Of course, that would end Irish rugby for at least a generation.
