They definitely don't deserve to be. Shouldn't have been at the last one either.

Sri Lanka 27/7. But it's Associates that would make mismatches happen.

Now 29/8. Scores are 0, 0, 1, 0, 1, 12, 0, 0, 6*

Extras on nine.

Aus vs Eng tomorrow morning. Do we think the Poms can be bothered to bat for 50 overs, do everyone else a favour and beat the Ockers?

and sunday we play India. I keep telling myself not to get excited about the Proteas. Know the big choke is around the corner. Decided to keep my WC habits with Bok Day Friday.

Afghanistan getting to the semifinals would be great for the sport.

I'm starting to regret that statement tbh. They shouldn't have test status, and I don't want to see such a brutal regime have any other distraction.

Today's game between NZ and Pakistan starts a bit earlier than usual: 6pm NZ time. Might be able to stay awake for most of it.

Also, Australia take on England at 9:30pm NZ time. If form's any guide, it should be a romp for the Poms.

What a great tournament Afghanistan's having!

KW back from injury and has his half century. Not the score Pakistan hoped for when they decided to bowl

Is there a team in top tier cricket that has worse luck during games than NZ?

But also - Zaman is on fire and our bowlers are looking awful.

I guess NZ getting wins against the easy beats and then falling to India, SA, Australia and now Pakistan is just a show that we had an easy start to the tournament.

Another false hope.

Seriously - supporting NZ sport is absolutely destroying my mental health.

England finally pronounced DOA. It was a slow and painful death.
