FSo it's 2 from 3 from Saffer teams. Can be 3 from 4 if the Cheetahs win tomorrow.

A lot of forward passes in this game, some called and some not, do these lads think they're playing NFL?

3/5 for the Prem so far. Won't be scaling the heady heights of success that we saw last weekend.
One thing backing Ruan Pienaar's Cheetahs, another thing to claim the Sharks aren't South African. A typical Oom move.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Dec 16, 2023 9:07 pm FSo it's 2 from 3 from Saffer teams. Can be 3 from 4 if the Cheetahs win tomorrow.

Bulls B should never lost last night. They were the better team against Lyon.

They could have done Connacht a solid by beating them, but as it stands Connacht probably have no chance of proceeding now.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:34 am_Os_ wrote: Sat Dec 16, 2023 10:09 pmOne thing backing Ruan Pienaar's Cheetahs, another thing to claim the Sharks aren't South African. Unfortunately the Bulls don't have Manie Libbok, they have the Embra reject, missing right in front to clinch it.fishfoodie wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 10:40 amThey could have done Connacht a solid by beating them, but as it stands Connacht probably have no chance of proceeding now.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:34 am_Os_ wrote: Sat Dec 16, 2023 10:09 pm

Bulls and Stormers have decent depth . Both B teams went pretty close in the away legs.

ITV haven't a fucking clue how to present Rugby !
It's incredibly irritating how the director keeps flicking between cameras, & going from wide, medium & short distance shots. It's not a french arthouse film you tarts, its a Sport !

Ruan Pienaar is doing everything you expect from a scrumhalf, and running sweeper on defence, and running support lines for breaks out wide (had a try cancelled by the TMO), and making cover tackles, and hitting rucks, and kicking goals, and takes a pen quickly to setup a try. The only error I've seen is he went for a gap and didn't have the speed to use it he would've had 20 years ago.
He's the oldest man on the field including the refs I think. He's playing against men who are double world cup winners or half his age. He's dominated everything so far.
Is he human?

Passage of play where Ruan tackled Am, then he tackled Etzebeth, then he was the one in the pocket to kick the clearing kick after the Cheetahs got the turnover. So in under a minute that's the hardest carrying back and forward maybe in SA, and the tactical kicking.
Sharks are being Ruan Pienaar-ed here.

They've always been pretty 1D, but Munster really have their number today, & any advantage Exeter have in the forwards isn't converting into pointsASMO wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 2:13 pm Exeter dumb as rocks, the blitz clearly not working, so what so they do....carry on blitzing....Munster not even having to try hard.

I think Beirne is being held back by the rest of the team, & he could just beat them on his own.

Munsters plan to beat the blitz has rather been fucked by then insisting on bringing on Murray

Henry Slade game winning interceptions against Irish opposition, iconic
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember with advantages, What feats he did that day

It was a slow ponderous shovel pass at that. Why not run at the retreating players and use them as blockers - and if you force them to tackle you you get your pen and maybe even a yellow. For a man with so much top class rugby under his belt he can be an awful fucking idiot at times!Paddington Bear wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 2:55 pmI think he was trying to hit one of the retreating runners to buy a penBlackmac wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 2:52 pmAbsolute shocker of a play by Murray. Can see why the ref has gone yellow, but felt like a red to me

Aki very lucky. He was clearly rising in the contact and looking to make a dominant hit. He just failed to do so because his victim is considerably bigger than him. Which really is the essence of why the degree of force/dominant or passive hit stuff is bollocks. You tell the prone and about to be stretchered off Lamb that it wasn't a dominant hit, so it's only worth a yellow.

Game's been a bit flat since the card and sight of Lamb being stretchered off.

Yes no momentum at all now, crowd understandably quiet. This half will take over an hoursockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 4:03 pm Game's been a bit flat since the card and sight of Lamb being stretchered off.

Big score that for Quins, important to close the gap before half time arrives.
