Furbank may be the player in the whole premiership who has regressed the most over lockdown. He was rushed into international level, but until the last month he has always looked like a future world class full back. He may yet again - he us stupidly young to be written off

He looks like a smaller version of Alex Goode but without the vision, footwork and skill.
It does but they are in danger of letting them pull away here. Plus, the flip side is they only have a couple of games in their legs. In saying that, I fully expect them to foldAli Cadoo wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:24 pm If Bordeaux haven’t had a pre-season then they are likely to be under-cooked so it makes perfect sense to run them off their feet.

My observation from August...
Not saying he isn't a good player but the commentary hype is not matching the reality.

You are mad, he is absolutely brilliant, almost faultless whenever I’ve seen himKawazaki wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:28 pm My observation from August...

I'm trying to reconcile the commentary hype with the pictures. Just listen, it's like they are on commission.
Six passes, three carries, four tackles, and hitting rucks. Not bad for an overweight prop. He's pretty heavily involved even if his carrying lacks bite at the moment.
Radradra is a class above everyone else in a Bristol shirt, mind. Quite a few hyped Bristol players are either anonymous or actively poor.
Maaaate, I’m a huge Sinckler fan but he is really poor from where he was last yearJM2K6 wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:35 pmSix passes, three carries, four tackles, and hitting rucks. Not bad for an overweight prop. He's pretty heavily involved even if his carrying lacks bite at the moment.

ESPN.
Slick, he's not carrying well and his scrummaging hasn't been anything to write home about so far tonight. But he has been heavily involved and distribution / keeping quick ball going is part of his game - he's clearly doing a lot of work.
Earl is surprisingly quiet tonight, up against a hell of a player though.
Sink is going just fine.
He's never been as big a carrier as some think, because he has amazing hands he often keeps defenders wary of committing to him, thus getting an easier carry. When he tucks it under an arm then he tends to get stopped sooner.
Fun game to watch.

Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
As I suspected, Ben Tameifuna who really is a massive bloke has more carries and more tackles than Sinkler. No stat there for passes made though but then again there is no stat for Sinkler either...JM2K6 wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:35 pm Six passes, three carries, four tackles, and hitting rucks. Huh? Look at the column labeled P for passes. Big Ben has carried loads (11!). That's good for him, great work. Sinckler now has 9 passes (another quality little tip on there) and five carries. Both have attempted five tackles, Sink has missed one.Kawazaki wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:51 pmAs I suspected, Ben Tameifuna who really is a massive bloke has more carries and more tackles than Sinkler. Big Ben carrying lots is just a comment on him and him alone, really. It's what he does.
Afoa on now so that'll be the end of the comparison.

Ah, apologies, I was looking at the 'Gamecast' column that has less stats.
