Six Nations Round 2 - Ireland v Italy
Italy looked decent against England - for a while. But, once England got their act together, they comfortably controlled the game and outscored Italy with a 20 point run of scores - without doing anything special. Ireland will have that sort of control (or better) from the outset - so it'll just be a steady stream of points in their favour.
Italy will do well to keep the deficit to under 30.

Italy likely to score a well-worked wonder try involving the entire team, but not much else.
If I were Quesada I would put out a second string team, given Ireland's knack for injuring our best playersclydecloggie wrote: Thu Feb 08, 2024 3:25 pm Italy likely to score a well-worked wonder try involving the entire team, but not much else.
It used to be that the one game in the 6N I wasn't worried about missing was Italy v England. Now, sadly, it's this one. Just no hope of an upset.
To be fair, it's the same with Scotland in Dublin, but at least I have some interest

Hate it when Italy are away to one of the better teams. It means that we functionally have just two matches that round.
Well I for one shall dutifully tune in thinking "this is it, this is our day!" and then turning off five minutes later when it turns out that it's not actually our daysockwithaticket wrote: Thu Feb 08, 2024 4:35 pm Hate it when Italy are away to one of the better teams. Looks like it'll be dry on Sunday, if you trust the forecast.

Well they do say your Captain should be the player first on your team sheet, & Doris fits that criteria.

I still rate Luke Pierce as the best ref in the world right now.
Probably, but even he is constantly warning Ireland “hands away” “roll away” “take a step”, fucking ping them, not warm them over and overfishfoodie wrote: Sun Feb 11, 2024 3:13 pm I still rate Luke Pierce as the best ref in the world right now.

Italy have competed pretty well but they’re totally outclassed

Doesn't help that garbisi seems completely out of sortsPaddington Bear wrote: Sun Feb 11, 2024 3:27 pm Italy have competed pretty well but they’re totally outclassed

Varney and being charged down - an iconic duo.
Also love Pearce reffing the choke tackle properly

It's a real problem, garbisino can't kick, varney keeps getting charged down, hopefully page-relo is better?Paddington Bear wrote: Sun Feb 11, 2024 3:32 pm Varney and being charged down - an iconic duo.
