Grim. Still, not a bad 'season' to miss tbh.

I wonder if that means Leicester will have now have to pay up whatever is left remaining on his old contract? Did that run to the end of the 2021 season?

I suspect he’s starting to run out of seasons.

It's a horrible injury for anyone to try and come back from, but he'll still be under 30 if it's "only" 6 months.

Bit late in the day, but he might want to convert to hooker.

I'd be surprised if he's fully fit before 2022. Horrible injury, especially for a big man who relies on explosive power/pace.

Feel for the lad. I only 'tweaked' mine while playing basketball and I collapsed like I'd been shot.

Thats going to be a long time out.
Think 6 months is way to optimistic, 12 months or more.

I tweaked mine april 2019 and it still aches occasionally.

He might be under 30 by the number of candles on his cake, but with all the injuries he's had his body is about 57.

I thought a lot of his time out was the chronic groin issue rather than a plethora of different injuries?

As a long-time observer of Manu injuries I took a sharp intake of breath when Dimes said something along the lines of I said we would get at least nine games out of him and this is the ninth.

It’s a horrible injury. I completely ruptured mine about 25 years ago and I never got more than 70% power back in that calf given the extensive atrophy as they repaired the tendon with something similar to strong knicker elastic. I’m sure Manu’s care and rehab will be better than mine was but it will be a long time before he trusts it again. I never have.

If not made of glass, then definitely perspex.

Great player. Dominated the All Blacks in two games i can unfortunately recall.

Best of luck to the lad.
