He's been very strong on this issue and his not pulling any punches in talking about it is refreshing after how mealy-mouthed officials are over what is well and truly an obscene clusterfuck.

Not really a surprise, but illustrative of how with political will, & investment, & responsible water operators you can turn around a situation where untreated sewage was routinely being dumped into the sea, to one where it is the exception for a beach to contaminated.
