International arrest warrant issued for former Leinster star Rocky Elsom

An international arrest warrant has been issued for former Leinster and Australia rugby star Rocky Elsom over his conduct as president of French club Narbonne in 2015 and 2016, French media have reported.

The 41-year-old was yesterday found guilty in absentia of forgery and misuse of corporate assets by a Narbonne court, for which he was sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to repay €705,000, lawyer Patrick Tabet said.

Narbonne, two-time champions of France, went into liquidation and were relegated to the the third-tier Championnat Nationale in 2018, where they play today.

A powerful blindside flanker, Elsom played 75 tests for Australia and captained the Wallabies from 2009 until just before the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

He's trying to lie low in Dublin.
Seems to have problems with money. Move to Leinster was down to some investments gone bad IIRC.

I'm surprised the Police didn't have a chat with the Army & get a few SF people in to stake out the area & locate where he's getting help from, so they can home in on him & intercept him.

This is a tragedy waiting to happen, & I don't think anyone wants to be asked if they could have done more before they have a number of dead kids to answer for !

Elsom sentenced in absentia to 5 years in prison.

Feel very sorry for Tom Phillips' kids, and their mum. Can't imagine how any dad could put them through this, especially dragging them into being accessories to his crimes. And as for the misguided locals who have been helping him all this time... just so fucked up.

Apparently, the mum has been copping abuse on the socials... because braindead fuckheads sympathise with him and have decided she's the bad guy despite knowing nothing of the case or the marriage story.

She'll be going through absolute hell and has been since this started. Our police are extraordinarily ineffective, to say the least... almost to the point of wilful culpability,.
