Never mind the neck roll. Where TF is the TMO on the head contact?

For those getting the Kiwi commentators..
Has TJ had a head knock?

I’m delighted to win against England and Ireland. I like France so am disappointed but accepting to be beaten by France.

Normally like this ref but he's had a total sh*tshow tonight.

He’s had a good game I thought. NZ will lose and France deserve the win.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 9:56 pm Normally like this ref but he's had a total sh*tshow tonight.

Some of the best defence I've seen for some time by both teams. Always thought Fra looked better off the bench but the mix of injuries almost wrecked that.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 9:59 pm Frankly superb defensive set ends the game.
Fabulous match. Thanks very much to both teams and the ref; a great contest and an even better watch.

Good ref, I think the pace of the game got to him in the last 10 and he missed a few calls but he was really good in a fantastic game.ScarfaceClaw wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 9:58 pmHe’s had a good game I thought. Great Test Match that.
Add me to the fans of this Ref; he has that good mix of letting the game flow, but also not getting behind the teams trying to skirt the laws.
NZ's subs decisions were baffling, while France's hands were forced with their front row going off too early

Thought he was horribly inconsistent at the breakdown tonight. If Ire had been playing, Fra would have lost by a mile on those interpretations.Slick wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:01 pmI do enjoy your unique takes on, well, just about everythingTorquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 9:56 pm Normally like this ref but he's had a total sh*tshow tonight.

Just seen the Tonga score. That's wrecked my GS.
Tongan rugby really has imploded.

I thought he went off injured?Gumboot wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:04 pm Ah well...
Congrats, France.
Thought we were in with a shout at HT, but the ol' second half blues came back to haunt us. Replacing Roigard after 53 minutes was a huge mistake.

Question for me is why the ABs giving up a 10 point lead is somehow acceptable to modern fans. Back in the Griz era, the team would be on the training paddock tomorrow passing bricks.
Good win by France, but have to question NZ coaching, some of the substitutions were simply brain dead.
Really? Thought it was just a straight sub.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:05 pmI thought he went off injured?Gumboot wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:04 pm Ah well...

Great game!
Well done, France. Won me a few bucks...
Disappointed to lose of course - but I'm more encouraged by the ABs moving forward than I was mid year. That said, BB needs a shock-collar that goes off any time he even thinks about putting in a rubbish kick on attack.

I think he mixed that up nicely with the shovel pass to the wrong place a few times.Moral Dilemma wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:07 pm Great game!

You are probably right. I was listening on Fre comms in the background some of the time and it might have been for another substitution. If he wasn't injured or knackered, it was a mental call.Gumboot wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:07 pmReally? Massively physical game. No surprise the fwds on both sides were f**ked. Ratima was the only odd one for the ABs I thought. No idea why BB started ahead of Dmac anyway.Jethro wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:06 pmTrue that.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 9:59 pm Frankly superb defensive set ends the game.

Straight sub - at least from what I can gather going back and watching it again. Roigard was moving fine.Gumboot wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:07 pmReally? We don't have access to player data like the coaching box does. Roigard is still coming back from an injury layoff and it's likely they wanted to maintain pace pressure on Dupont.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:18 pmWell Razor isn't so smart after allMoral Dilemma wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:15 pm Straight sub - at least from what I can gather going back and watching it again. It's frustrating but the overall improvement in this team throughout the season along with the introduction of new players with real flair suggests the ABs are in good hands and on the right track.

I think where Razor messed up was selecting Ratima in the 23 in the first place.

I don't share the same antipathy towards Ratima that many do. I think he's a decent talent with a big upside to his game and he'll improve off a pretty good starting platform. He's in the cauldron at the moment playing the best sides at home. While it's frustrating to see mistakes or slip ups happen in his game, he'll be better for the experience and we as a team will benefit.
I think some patience is in order.
Otherwise it'll be Canterbury product Noah Hotham into the mix and the Waikato massive will risk a trolling induced health incident.
