I love watching little children running and screaming, playing hide and seek in the playground.

Looks like it’s going to be pretty awful in Wales and the West of England

Much the same, but with more trampolines flying thru the air

I’ve just flown into London from Europe so coming from the east. Fairly smooth coming in. Not much bumping. Maybe later tonight.

Having said that, I’m on the train heading home and it’s blowing its arse off out there. Think I got lucky with the flight.

I’ve spent a week walking up in the Highlands and am on the sleeper train home, somewhat concerned about the state of the WCML, and therefore my sleep, later. And then an afternoon at Sarries tomorrow, windy on any day…

I'm in the eye at the moment, very calm & just a misty drizzle, but it'll be interesting later on, the Status Red kicks in at 9pm here & runs thru to 2am

Getting very gusty now, all of a sudden. There's going to be Christmas decorations scattered for miles.

The only plus is the storm will pass between tides, so that shouldn't be a problem.

We went to a gig tonight and it involved driving so I was little unsure about going. We just got back and I wouldn't have wanted to drive in anything worse. It wasn't too windy but the rain was awful. Luckily I was on a newish dual carriage way for the majority of the journey.

Go and fix the gate. You'll be able to test it immediately.

Got one of those weather station things on the house, not in best position as in too close to roof. But currently showing 48mph average, gusting at 68!..

Power finally back after 12 hours outage; ESB Networks techs are doing trojan work, but have 400k outages to deal with.

Peak gust was ~145kmph in Galway, so hopefully the match goes ahead tonight & there's not too much disruption

Will we be seeing one of those kicks at goal that doesn't make it over the bar from directly in front of the posts?

They're predicting ~50kmph gusts at match time, so they might need to up-club a bit get the kicks over the bar

Hello from North Wales coast. Hasn’t been too bad for us so far. Went to work Xmas do last night and made it home OK. Wind noisy overnight but not too bad. Power and internet still on, don’t think anything crucial fell off the house, parcel box on front lawn but that looks to be it (from the windows).
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
