Whoa, didn’t expect this - crap news, was handy player. Didn’t he score the fastest try from a kickoff ?

Very sad, but highlights how little idea people have of their cars ability to drive through water.

Voyce was a big part of the Wasps side I fell for as a teen, since I also played back three I always had a soft spot for him.

A damned shame and devastating for his family.

Very sad to hear but definitely not the name I expected in the body of a BBC article entitled
Former England rugby star feared dead in flood

I don't know what happened here but itnever ceases to amaze me how willing people are to blithely drive into deep water. Maybe owners believe the marketing hype about the U in SUV.

I'd expect it's a ford he's driven through a fair few times before, just not during a storm.

So very sad. Leaves a wife and son.

I always liked watching him play, not necessarily top-end quick but a very good runner. He had a few years at Bath before establishing himself in a very good Wasps team.

That seems to be the case but by some accounts the ford was considerably higher than usual. Even a couple of extra inches of water in these situations adds a huge amount of force. Add in the fact that the car is likely stalled in the water after the engine hydrolocks and you have little chance.
