Now he sees the deliberate knock on but not Quins 3 yards offside at an earlier ruck.

Sucker punch given Quins' normally watertight defence.

Cheat should never be allowed near a professional game. And certainly none involving French sides.

Plenty of possession, side steps and offloads but a real absence of direct runners.

Commentators talking usual sh*t about Fre SHs. The 2nd best behind Dupont not even mentioned: Jauneau playing later against Barf.

Not sure this is done and dusted. Saints game shows things can turn unexpectedly.

Quins are like Saints. Easy on the eye and you want to see their endeavours rewarded but they are powder puff when it comes to the grunt work.

Yeah: the reason Toulon can stand off is Quins spend too much time running sideways and just shipping the ball on.

2 abject kicking away of possession there in 2 mins: 1 from each side.

would say it was a fairly comprehensive beating, apart from that small patch in the second half Quins were completely outplayed across the park

I guess I see now why Quins miss Esterhuizen. They have nobody else who will run a straight line in an attempt to break it.

It is an indictment to the Prem that its likely only Northampton will make it out of the group stages

Raises an interesting speculation: which Sale turns out next week both in terms of squad and performance?

With nothing to play for, i wouldn't bet against it being an "inexperienced" side

Maybe Sarries to squeak through at home to Castres, Munster will likely lose to Northampton away would see Sarries qualify.

Depends what Saints' backline ends up like with their injuries.

Toulon were well worth the bonus point win, won the physical battle and showed some razor sharp attacking too. Good to watch and they look extremely difficult to beat at home.

Annoyed by us bombing multiple tries, probably one of our better attacking performances this season but the error count continues to kill us. Ultimately that's the biggest indictment of this team, the skills are way below where they used to be.

We know that English clubs aren't going to match too many French sides in terms of size and power, but for Quins it's made harder because our only natural 12 has completely failed to step up, so we're shoehorning a 13 in that position and hoping for the best. Result: we can't stop midfield runners at source, which is lethal. Lovely to see Waghorn come on and absolutely melt a couple of people, but it'd be a big ask for him to make the step up this season.

Shame we were missing most of our locks and Isgro, but the errors aren't going to magically go away when they return.
