The thing here is: do the Stomps need another backrower? Surely they should spend the money on a few props ,a scrum half and maybe a center?

You make a good point. We struggled without Fourie, not only his play but his leadership and experience. Kolisi will bring that and nuture young talent like Paul de Villiers.

Our scrumming is excellent. Scrumhalf also some great talent in Kahn.

Herschel played his best game in two years. Quick service, accurate box kicks, lots of tackles and 2 vital turnovers.

On the Kolisi move back to Slaapstad.
He has been playing some fantastic rugby and he is an inspirational leader both on and off the field, but at his age, is he really a good buy if there is a R17 million transfer fee to be paid? And he will command a big monthly salary.

He has at best 3 more years in him before he is too old. The Stomps are well stocked up with loose forwards.
Rather invest his salary in a few props, a scrumhalf and a flyhalf.

The Stomps also have Moerat as their leader, so Kolisi's leadership is also not needed

Dobson cleared the air. It's up to Kolisi and the Sharks. They have to settle first. Then they will have a look at the Stormers spaar varkie.

Hot and cold over Siya.

As a Sharks supporter I feel mo animosity over him going to the Stormers. And Paul De Villiers was gash for the under 20s. As a player and captain

Moerat is like Kolisi a good captain. If you compare Robert du Preez antics on Saturday. What a idiot he was. He act like a soccer player after every ref decision. French refs dont take prisoners.

Ja, he might be getting on a bit but we really need some quality at 9 and some experience in general.

Jantjies dropped off a cliff after the 2019 RWC and has never really regained his pre-Covid form and the other 9's we used never really stepped up either. Ungerer, Masimla, De Wet and even Duvenage...none of them really set the world alight.

Meanwhile the other big teams all had 2 scrumhalves better than ours: Van Den Ber &, Nohamba at the Lions, Papier & Burger at the Bulls and Grant & Hendrikse at the Sharks. Fuck, even Cameron Wright was better than anything we had to offer  So yeah, Reinach will be a great asset especially with Manie and a young Sacha outside of him.

I know Masimla is at the Pumas now, but he did the rounds with us in 2021-2023. That’s what I meant.

Khan and Moos both look promising, but have also had some terrible outings. They are going to need a lot of game time and need to get consistent. They are far from the finished articles.

Oh yes, he was kak. Made me swear a lot at the TV. I like Khan, he is a good goal kicker and played with SMZ from schooldays at Bishops.
