Fabulous but sometimes baffling filums.
Yep, didn't always enjoy his work, but Eraserhead, Blue Velvet and Muholland Drive are dead-set classics imho
RIP.

He made some brilliant films, & Twin Peaks will always be a remarkable TV Series.

Lost Highway is one of my favourite films ever. Mainly because I could sit back, really enjoy it, and not have a clue what's going on for the entire duration of the film - but the genius of David Lynch was that I did not care, I was still having a brillant time. It was the perfected version of Blue Velvet, almost, in that sense.

Exactly that. No brain needed, just get the feeling. Classic Lynch. Lost Highway is my favorite film of him as well, the score alone is outstandingclydecloggie wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 10:34 am Lost Highway is one of my favourite films ever. The Straight Story
Is probably my favourite. It manages the trick of being both the least and most Lynchian filum in his repertoire.
