John Reid, captain of the BCs and leader in our first three test victories, died today. I never got to see him play live but listened to lots of innings on the radio back in the early to mid-60s. What an absolute legend. Brenda McCullum was a very similar sort of cricketer.

News coming thru that one of NZ's cricketing greats, ex-captain John Reid has died aged 92.

Excellent all rounder - remember him from the 60s. RIP.
