Press reporting that a number of Tesla Executives and board members are off loading stock, never a good sign! I suspect they too realize that Tesla has been hugely over valued and will be looking a current and future sales projections very very nervously. Hopefully the slow, or hopefully quick, implosion of the Tesla bandwagon?

So the banks know this valuation is trash, & they also know that means the loans on Xhitter aren't secured, so they should call in the debt, but with all Space Karens cash in stock, them calling in the debt would be really, really bad, so they opt out of the responsibility to their shareholders, & pretend that everything is fine

One might reasonably ask what could be done to make those Teslas look worse? The Ford Scorpio starts out as a much better looking car, so much so vandalising those Tesla trucks may even raise their value
I suspect a lot of the anti EU animosity from the US gestapo is because their mate and funder Musk is angry his Tesla monstrosity is banned from sale in Europe and not just from being an ugly pile of shit but because it would likely kill any pedestrian it hits due to those sharp angles and poor safety features. https://apnews.com/article/x-musk-sale- ... 2160dc77ebElon Musk sells X to his own xAI for $33 billion in all-stock deal
Elon Musk has sold social media site X to his own xAI artificial intelligence company in a $33 billion all-stock deal, the billionaire announced on Friday.
Both companies are privately held, which means they are not required to disclose their finances to the public.
Musk said in a post on X that the move will “unlock immense potential by blending xAI’s advanced AI capability and expertise with X’s massive reach.” He said the deal values xAI at $80 billion and X at $33 billion. Musk, who serves as CEO of Tesla and SpaceX as well as an advisor to President Donald Trump, bought the site then called Twitter for $44 billion in 2022, gutted its staff and changed its policies on hate speech, misinformation and user verification and renamed it X.
....
So he's using money VC idiots put into his bogus AI company, to buy (overpaying obviously), the SM company he's been destroying, so that he can claim success, & do an end run around data protection laws.
He has a track record of this, when he bought the company his cousins ran using Tesla investors money, & then righting it all off after a year or two, after spending ~$2.5 Billion on an obvious lemon.
Complete and utter oblviousness to how he does the same thing about things which actually matter.

From https://electrek.co/2025/04/02/tesla-ts ... ies-worse/Tesla (TSLA) announces 336,681 deliveries, far worse than expected
Tesla (TSLA) has released its Q1 2025 production and delivery numbers. The automaker confirmed it delivered 336,681 electric vehicles during the first three months of the year — far below expectations.
In Q1 2024, Tesla delivered 386,810 electric vehicles.
Due to demand issues and production challenges related to the Model Y changeover, Tesla was expected to see fewer deliveries in Q1 2025.
According to Tesla-compiled analyst consensus, the automaker was expected to report “377,592 deliveries” in the first quarter. The Bloomberg consensus from Wall Street analysts is higher at 390,000 deliveries.
Today, Tesla reported that it delivered 336,681 EVs in Q1 2025.

After Tesla's rough start to the year, Elon Musk is probably lucky that Americans cannot buy BYD cars.
Tesla's Chinese nemesis had another spectacular quarter, with sales jumping 60% in the first three months of 2025.
BYD has sold about 416,000 EVs and 570,000 hybrids this year. Tesla vehicle deliveries, meanwhile, came in well below analyst expectations, with the automaker announcing first-quarter deliveries of 336,700 EVs on Wednesday.
It's the second successive quarter that BYD has outsold its rival, with Tesla battling plunging sales as protests against CEO Elon Musk and DOGE spread worldwide.
Most concerningly for Elon Musk, a growing proportion of BYD's sales are coming from outside China.
The Warren Buffett-backed automaker reported record overseas sales in March for the third time this year as it expands aggressively in international markets.

I’ve done almost 60000km in my Atto3 in 2 1/2 years. It’s been a magic ride so far but I’d quite like to try the Seal, apparently they’re really good. The high spec AWD option would be ace.

We ended up getting an ICE one but I want a "side car" for me. My RS265 is still fun but getting unreliable for trips to Sydney and back.
Ideally, I'd garage it and get a smaller runabout EV with Bidirectional Charging so I can use it as a battery for my Solar as well
The market is still all about large cars at present

EV market? Well, there are a good number of small EVs coming through now, ranging from the rough and ready Dacia Spring to journalists' darling Renault 5 and beyond. I think bidirectional is likely to be a next gen thing for most EVs.mat the expat wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 5:41 amI wanted to buy an SUV Sized car when we moved to Newy - the problem was, our idiot previous PM bringing the Coal into Parliament put the kybosh on a lot of EVs coming to Oz in timeGuy Smiley wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 4:45 am I’ve done almost 60000km in my Atto3 in 2 1/2 years. This also assumes you can get said runabouts in Australia.
Took delivery of a Leapmotor C10 last week, first one registered in UK. It's fantastic. GF has free charging at work so pretty compelling. It senses my phone approaching, flashes it's lights alluringly and moves everything around to my spec. Anything whilst on the move is voice activated. A lovely shade of Chinese Racing Green too.....
