Clear and obvious that Muir lost possession but was it clear and obvious it was towards the Leicester goal line? TMO didn't seem interested in considering that given all Muir's momentum was sideways across the pitch.

An ignominious way for Cole's career to end.
What was he thinking?

Deserved a yellow just for the sheer stupidity alone.

There was absolutely no chance he could've charged that down. Purely did it for a cheap shot.Slick wrote: Sat Jun 14, 2025 3:45 pm I think yellow was a bit harsh to be honest, but Cole has been acting the dick since he came on, overly fired up
Aye I think ultimately his own teammate knocked him off of the tackle!sockwithaticket wrote: Sat Jun 14, 2025 3:32 pmYeah, that was ugly from him. Admittedly none of his team mates did much to help.I like neeps wrote: Sat Jun 14, 2025 3:30 pm That will be ruled out as Muir knocked on but Radwan dearie me.

Aye, the better more adventurous style of rugby won, & that's what most of us want to see.
The most noticeable difference, for me, between that and URC is that the forwards today carried into contact a lot more, rather than passing just before the hitfishfoodie wrote: Sat Jun 14, 2025 4:06 pmAye, the better more adventurous style of rugby won, & that's what most of us want to see.

The carrying from Henderson for Tigers was Borthwick-esque...
Yep - It was more than clumsy. Kind of get your late hits in early, sort of thing.Punter15 wrote: Sun Jun 15, 2025 5:30 pm The amount of what aboutery on Cole’s yellow card is getting a bit daft. Whether or not you think it was a yellow (I do), anyone suggesting that Dickson is a cũnt because it was Cole’s last game deserves to have a prop dropped on them.

Austin is fine as long as it isn’t Leicester playing.
Also quite surprised at some of the accusations Ive seem of Finn taking a dive. He was up straight away and didn’t seem to milk it at allPunter15 wrote: Sun Jun 15, 2025 5:30 pm The amount of what aboutery on Cole’s yellow card is getting a bit daft. Bringing in Ewels for Lockett is an insane decision. We need to start bringing through some fresh locks and I'm not particularly interested in giving a 29 year old with two red cards in a white jersey to his name a chance to go for the hat trick.
Slade still stealing a spot. Could've swapped him out for Ojomoh and still kept Ma'asi White around.
Most of the other changes make sense or at least aren't contentious. Disappointing to see Dingwall and Curry on the Rehab list.

Especially picking Caden Murley ahead of him. That really rubs it in.
Mind you, Borthwick is an idiot which people seem to have forgotten.

Murley deserves to be there, he had 1 match where he had a brain fart for England but has been one of the best finishers in the league for the last couple of years, if he gets to the Henry Slade level of consistent fuck ups, or even the Freddie Steward then i think his selection could be called into question.

It wasn't just one brain fart, and anyway the bigger issue stands that in advance he simply doesn't look up to the athletic standard of test rugby, rather he's a club player, nothing wrong with that and he's a very good one, but it's a waste to have him in a test squad, and annoying when we're ignoring people who do have athletic talent

Murley is not even close to Test class.

He wouldn't even be there if Sleightholme was fit!

In fairness, he is clearly quite a way down the depth chart and is only getting this opportunity due to Lions absentees and injuries.SaintK wrote: Wed Jun 18, 2025 2:12 pmQuiteKawazaki wrote: Wed Jun 18, 2025 1:13 pmASMO wrote: Wed Jun 18, 2025 8:25 am

I think he's a quicker version of Jack Nowell, but I'm not sure that's enough. Might make a good centre.

That's the only option listed on Where's The Match and they're usually very reliable.

Slade still getting preferential treatment,. Good to see MF-W back and Carpenter selected. The back row looks well balanced though not sure what either Langdon or Oghre have got to do to get a game?
England: Carpenter; Roebuck, Slade, Atkinson, Feyi-Waboso; Ford (co-c), Spencer; Baxter, George (co-c), Heyes, Coles, Isiekwe, Hill, Pepper, Willis
Replacements: Dan, Rodd, Davison, Cunningham-South, Kenningham, Dombrandt, Quirke, Beard

I appreciate they're basically using this game as a hit out before the Argentina tests and that we're taking those games seriously, but that means using back rowers as lock cover is part of the plan rather than seeing whether Clark can cut it and that seems bloody stupid. Also sick of seeing the 6 - 2. We've got more than enough backs capable of playing and our forwards are not sufficiently dominant that it makes sense as a tactic.
George should be a mentor in the squad with Langdon and Dan playing.
Still wasting caps on Slade.
Outside of those gripes, the starting pack looks solid with the back row seeming very balanced on the face of it and the backline is decent. Nice to see Atkinson and Carpenter get chances.
