It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line. Zohran Mamdani, a 100% Communist Lunatic, has just won the Dem Primary, and is on his way to becoming Mayor. We’ve had Radical Lefties before, but this is getting a little ridiculous. I find her voice really grating but she's a sharp, quick witted operator with the ability to home in and nail issues. In comparison to most of the others you see in action, she's a pretty effective operator and she seems to be working her base for genuine support over the sheer hype so many US politicians go for.

The Big Beautiful Bill rumbles ever onwards, now with a little over 40% support (which in itself would be bad) and that among the white, male, non college educated demographic (which for Trump is jaw droopingly bad)

The only way the Big Beautiful Bill doesn't kill them in the mid-terms is that a lot of the cuts are booked in years down the line, essentially Trump is causing a problem for someone(s) else down the line and hoping he/his party don't get tagged for it now. But this will remove a lot of practical health services used by a lot of Americans, many of whom vote Team Orange Moron, they're not going to love seeing health care removed to help fund a tax cut for the top 1%, and any Republicans left in the GOP aren't going to like Trump once more exploding the deficit, he's like a toddler being put in charge of the economy adding a line item for the purchase of ice-cream in vast quantities
